MILWAUKEE - A Unique thriveful city full of spirit

History...

I wanted to create a city that would beat my past city population of 12,000.  I wanted to know what it's like to manage a huge city.  Thus Milwaukee was created.  Milwaukee is somewhat based on it's real life counterpart in Wisconsin.  The city was founded on manufacturering and hard work.  As the city grew so did it's economy.  This is where my Milwaukee and the real life Milwaukee seperate.  HT is now knocking on the door(or rather running over the door) with a 6000 desirability rating on the graphs.

Today

Milwaukee is a thriving city with 146,049 residents.  I started the city yesterday so I'm kinda addicted to it.  The city just obtained the opera house and stock exchange.  The city has no neighborhoods.  Residental is scattered throughout with low income being near industrial.  Milwaukee is heading towards a high commericalized economy but is facing a brick wall as it tries to releaf the gap seperating it.  Actually Milwaukee is a 12 cylinder engine targeting a concrete wall.  It just wont go anywhere.  It wants to but it cant.

Milwaukee is known for it's extensive park system with parks scattered everywhere.   The parks range from baseball fields to playgrounds.  The Parks have brought areas down in the ground to new heights never seen before in the city.

In terms of transportation Milwaukee is at a halt.  Most of the streets are roads.  Despite continuous congestion upgrading to an avenue is not viable as we would lose some tall(not skyscrappers tho) buildings and homes.  Milwaukee used to operate a subway system but after lack of interest was torn down.  A bus system replaced it and is hanging around with 5,000 riders.

Milwaukee is average in IQ with an IQ of around 110 and the life expectancy is hanging around 60.

In terms of running the city, my mayor rating is near 100% HOWEVER the city is losing 4,000 each month due to expenses.  Currently we're at 2,798,763 dollars

I will Post pix later on.  Thanx for reading.  4.gif

I hope this is going to be a good cj. I love Wisconsin and I was born in Kenosha. Someone already tried Green bay and failed miserably. I really hope you don't make fun of Milwaukee by making it look like crap. I'm not trying to put pressure on you, but when you replica a real city it better look like it. Great intro though, I hope the best of you. Good luck

It's not exactly going to look like Milwaukee but I always had the same ideas. There is no lake per se so thats one thing. I actually just couldnt think of a name and called it Milwaukee and then looking at how the city grew, it just happened to be the same as the real city.

"Milwaukee is average in IQ with an IQ of around 110 and the life expectancy is hanging around 60."

Well, really in 1992-1994 it was 79.4 for women and 75.9 for men...so now its about 81 avg for life expectancy. Maybe some more hospitals?

in 1992 - 1994 the IQ was 2nd highest in the United States reaching 110. Now I would say its about 120-125. Schools of higher education maybe?

Well, just don't make Milwaukee look poor and run down -- like most people envision it. I live there, and It really isn't. SO please, make it nice.

This is not a recreation of MILWAUKEE, like mine was, this is just another city with same name and influence heavily by Milwaukee probably, like my Cambellsport is. I really want to see pics to see if our building styles are similar.
