Howdie Mayors, I have a problem with my SC4 game causing my computer to reboot. Everytime I go to reinstall my SC4. It shuts down my pc half-way through installing. And it also caused my
computer to crash 2 times today. I have NOT encountered this problem with any other program
except IM. Does any1 know what could be causing my game to shutdown my pc and game itself? This is getting nerve wacking for me. I intend to have my pc cleaned out at the end the year or 2007 ok.

My IM is Yahoo. It Messes up Computer. My Computer is a HP Pavilion F1503. I might have to purchase a new game disc from "walmart" if this continues to be the problem. Like I said before, I intend to have the computer cleaned by Curcuit

City, where I purchased the computer from ok.

    1. What anti-virus suite are you running?
    2. When you get the reboot during the install is anything else running other than your IM?
    3. Did you try shutting down your IM when doing this?
    4. Did you try shutting down your net connection and your AV suite during the install?
    5. Do you have any other background processes running?
    6. Have you updated your sound driver lately?
    7. Are all your drivers up to date?
    8. Have you defragmented your disks lately?
    9. How much spare space do you have on your drive the game is on?
    10. What is the configuration of your machine?  You can get it most easily by running DXDIAG from the run box.
