Can't get icon to work

For months, I have been sick and tired of looking at an old blue head. I'm not good with this kinduv stuff, but I decided to give it a try. I want this pic to be my icon 

(wow, i'm gettin beter)

Anyways, i try to load it as my icon, but it won't. It is 80 x 80 (this photo has been resized by photobucket) and it is a JPEG. Can you help?

i tryed it for you and it says its not a vaid file format,not jpg or gif

It was a bmp file. (Can tell you, thanks to IrfanView)

Try this version:

Or this one (I changed it to higher density and made it a jpg using the GIMP.

Thanks Guys! I used vester_DK's pic and it worked! I'm sure N_O_Body's would have worked but I saw the other one first.
