merge lanes for avenues

Would it be possible to make merge lanes/on-off ramps for avenues? I only ask this because I *really* don't like the way ground highways look, and much prefer to use avenues for as my interstates. Only thing is that intersecting roads screw it up, as it creates stop signs (which I haven't seen much on the interstate).

Typically around here, the lack of replies means everyone has read it and thinks 'man, that would be a great idea'...some also know it's possible, but time consuming, and nobody thinks that it's impossible because it is possible.  Hence the lack of response.

 

 

The simple answer to your question is that it is entirely possible, it's just a question of man-hours.  If you want to give a crack at it, by all means go right ahead.  The 'interchange tutorial' thread which is a sticky in this forum provides all the resources and information you need in order to get started.  If you run into any problems, feel free to ask questions here, as many of us have knowledge in different pieces of the puzzle to get something like this done.

 

If you would like to see it done, but don't have the time, patience, or determination to attempt to contribute to it, the best I can offer is that this idea has been proposed before, but nobody that I know of is currently working on it.  Still, thanks for the post...hopefully I'll start working on it in the sixth week of this month

Thanks t7t. I've never BATted anything before, but I do think that avenue merge lanes is something that's sorely missing from the game. I'll take a look at the tutorial and see if it's something I think I can tackle
