Howdie Mayors; 

       I think I mentioned this before but not sure. I've Still Having issues with completing mission
      using the trains. Whenever I begin "The Free Drive Or Actural Mission" it times out and says
      I failed the mission and gives me a negative rating on my mayors rating. I get this message
      with all your train missions. All other missions are Awesome though. Is there a bug that I
      may not no of in The trains missions, that causes u to automatically lose?

Something fishy I found here in the LUA files, the files that direct the missions. There is a parameter which crashes the train if you go too fast.

I wouldn't bother about train missions, and (optionally), get a train simulator.

Constantina Domina: There is nothing fishy about a train derailing when it drives to fast through curves, or even when traveling straight pieces.

The train missions are doable, but it needs practice. Also make sure you lay your tracks in a way that you can get to all stations while driving forward. Meaning the tracks should be connected in a way that there are no dead ends.

AS far as I know there is no bug with the train missions ... you will need to drive a bit faster I think.

I had that problem with my monorail free drive and missions. I found out they didnt work because I didnt build the tracks properly. I wasnt dragging the tracks all the way through the stations. Even though there were no breaks in the tracks, still need to do this, or at least I did.  This problem didnt happen to me more than a few times with the other trains. Now, I make sure I build the tracks for all trains so that there is no broken ends(a complete circle or whatever), and run tracks by//through all the stations, when I put a station in, even if the tracks were already there, and I never had that "failed mission" thing again.  Well, thats what works for me anyways.
