I have found out... that you should undo whatever you did last to the game. I added a building and then the game crashed... so I took the building out, the game worked fine. This is all the knowledge I have on this. I hope it helps...

I think you found the answer, adding custom lots without careful testing is not the best thing to do.  There are lots, and mods that are not compatable.  There are some that if the readme instructions are not followed to the "T" will cause the city to be unrecoverable after the crash.

I suggest you remove all custom lots, start over, and add a couple at time.

Good luck, I think you have something to keep you busy for awhile.

Dang I hope I don't lose my cities...I only have 1 good one with 250k sims but, all the stats ( Health, Edu, Etc. ) are at the max. And a hospital...actually I did, but my game was still working after it. A 1x1 Vaccination, and a larger one...both worked fine with my game, but I remove the vaccination one.

    Oh yay I have a chance, I always back-up my files 3.gif

Well, as I predicted its in one of my folders labeled Random Buldings or Random mods...good  thing I checked those 2 out so I didnt have to look through every other folder...now to find out what wrong with em'

Yay didn't lose my cities either...although one of my cities is very wierd...the population is skyrocketing with high wealth sims and the commute is 200 mins lol.

You know, if you were going to commit suicide for the game, that is one of the best ways.  Shotgunning plugins is usually fatal.

Every plugin should be thought about.  They don't go away, so what's the point of putting stuff in you won't use until heavens knows when.  It just slows your game down.

The best approach is with a little thought.  Choose a plugin and download it to an away-from-game folder.  Unzip it and examine it.  If it is just a lot, put it in a folder in your plugins that shows the classification you want it to have.  If there is a readme file, read it.  It may describe additonal downloads needed to make it functional.  If so, get those and install them carefully, too.

Now, open up your sandbox region and test the lot.  If it doesn't work, take it out.  Simple as that.

With 50/day (ghaaa!), you really are making your playing time minimal, and probably worthless.  Maybe you should consider starting over.
