Sims only use roads and streets

Evertime I make highways, avenues, or one way roads, the sims never use them, i go to route query and it says none, then when i replace, for example an avenue for a road, then they start using the road.

It seems that my highways, avenues and one way roads are bugged, since the sims arent using them.

Transit works fine btw, jus those pesky higways, aves and one ways.....

how big is your city? it might be  a bit small for highways,one way roads and avenues yet...

To force Sims to use a motorway, you connect nothing between the work zones and the residential zones, but motorways/highways, like this, for example:

WWW   RRR

WWWHHHRRR

KEY:

W= Work places (commerce, industry)

H= Highway

R= Residential zone

Well thas the problem....when i try to force my residential city and my industrial city by putting either an avenue or highway they dont use them....its like they cant.

and my city size is about 50k residents....i had to use a road to connect my res are with my indus area.  Then when i replace the road with an avenue because of traffic, them they jus stop using it, and all the zones get no job zots, and they city cripples so i dont save....tried it like three times same thing happens.

Something is inhibiting your fancy roads.  Got any transit mods?  You really can only have one at a time.

Highways need ramps, don't forget, and roads joining avenues should connect to both halves.
