    Hi !

    I'm new here and with downloading stuff for Sim City 4. I recently downloaded Commercial Cap Mod (wich looked great) and had a .dat file. Where do I have to put this ?

    Welcome to our conversation.

    All downloads from the STEX or the Mods section go into your My Documents\Simcity 4\Plugins folder after they have been unzipped.

    When downloading stuff you should always use a separate download cache because they often have to be processed after they have been unzipped, and you really don't want most of the stuff in your plugins.  Only .dat, .sc4lot, .sc4desc, and .sc4model files should be placed in that structure.  You should also lay it out in sub-folders so that you can track where these come from.
