Hydrogen power plant

I don't understand one of those requiremants stated to obtain the Hydrogen Power Plant.
It says: Total H-T population has to be at least 4000 and total city energy demands plus deals have to be at least 30000 or more. I don't understand that part on the 30000 energy demand + deals. Can anyone tell me what in the world is that all about? And how do I get 30000 energy demand?

This is relatively easy.  All you need is a demand of 30000.  This means you need a city with an energy plant suppling neihbouring cities and the total demand must be at least 30000 to unlock the Hydrogen plant.  I hope this makes sense and helps.

The energy demand of your cities is measured just like any other rating, and you can find out what it is by going to the graphs menu and clicking on 'energy' or 'power' or something similar. It will show you a graph of what your current energy demand is.

Put simply, its saying that you need alot of need for electricity before you can build the game's largest plant.
