Hey everyone.

I recently had an urge to play Sim City 4. I never really played it much when i first got it. But now I want to but can't really work out where to start with all these mods.

Could you recommend some mods and things I should really use and that are essential?

Theres so many things I can download here and I don't know which to download!

Many thanks for the help!

David

another idea is to begin with landscaping related downloads....start off by searching for "terrain", then "rock" in the STEX/textures section. After that, search STEX/All for trees and download the ones that look interesting. From that point on, search for "canal", "pond", "stream" in STEX/All. Then move on to the buildings, which is where you'll spend most of your time, since there are hundreds of them. When I came back to this site after an 8 month break, I downloaded stuff for 2 weeks straight 9.gif

An easy way to find some good regions to play on is to do map search on the STEX. There, you can download greyscale images of areas in the United States or the world. I'm from Cleveland, OH, so I downloaded an greyscale map of the area a I live in and started building on that. Also, you can import the greyscale images you have downloaded into landscape designer and get a pretty good idea of what that region will look like in SC4. You can find plenty of greyscales here and at www.rebel13.com/SimCity/Home.html. Hope that answers your question.
