    Hello!
I started a city on in a big tile of a region...and after playing it for a while the map was eventually full....so I started on the adjacent map with another city and began to resettle (that word sound wierd....my dictionary just told me this one....hope you all know what I mean...) parts of the industry from my first into my second city and constucted residential and commercial areas on the fromer industrial areas...Now my city has around 450.00 inhabitants and I moved most of the industrial areas into the second city.....and because of my problem I started out with a third city.....because every time when I have around 80.000 jobs in the industry in one of these industrial cities the growth of the new established high-density industrial ares slowes down and comes almost to a stop, although both of these industry-cities are far from full...there is still plenty of space left...I build a system of railroads, highways, and subways to keep the commuter's travel time and transportation ways short and this is working pretty good....plus I put parks everywhere to increase the value and attractivity of the land.....the index shows me a demand of more than 6000 jobs in hightech- and producing industry....but still the game does not grow any more buildings on the areas I place for construction....
    does anyone have an idea?

I usually have the same problem. I just isolate the I-HT from the others by using it only in one city. I tax I-D and I-M at 20% so they don't grow. I then place the I-D and I-M in another city and tax I-HT at 20%. When they are seperated, they grow better.

When I-HT stops growing (usually at 80,000 jobs or more) I just place a buch of trees in the empty sections of the zone and they fill right up. My I-HT stops growing even with the demand maxed out.

I think it might have something to do with the Industry 4x multiplier?

What does your Jobs and Population display show?  You should have about double the number of Sims for the total jobs available (just add up the I and C lines in your head and they should be about half of the sum of the R lines).

Try to balance things out so that you have good I jobs (I-HT) to compete with CO§§§ as well.  Educated Sims flee from industry.  When a city matures, the number of I jobs either becomes static or shrinks.
