Today I had a chance to take a helicopter tour of New York City. Zooming over the city was awesome! I kept expecting to hear the plop sound, or wanting to check commute stats and stuff!

Helicopter rides are Highlighy Recommended for anyone who plays the game!

I took tons of photos, but have only had time to post one on my blog. Expect more soon.

Me jealous. I would think helecopter rides would be restricted or something since 9/11.

I will be awaiting more pics!

Security was pretty thorough, and we couldn't take anything larger than a camera with us anyway. They stick pretty closely over waterways, but then cut down through the park and then straight back over to the Hudson river.

You got me all excited. Reminds me of rule number 5 of the Forum Etiquette.

Anyways, that is an excellent photo. I actually am surprised you were able to fly in a helicopter that close to the city. But I guess the news makes a lot of misleading facts about NYC.

Reminds me of the Marrast (?) embankment set:

I always try to put the nicest looking / richest buildings by the water. Here's the reality:

Some great-looking photography of New York. Don't you hope that ten or twenty years from now Simcity games will approach that level of detail? The Yankee Stadiom one was very reminiscent of SC4.
