    Ok this region is for now at least largely rural with only one major city Delton with a pop over 100,000 and nearing 200,000.  I used to design regions with much more highways but for fun I decided to go with fewer but to include an extensive monrail network, trying to get eco-friendly the main idea was to design a transportation system that provides seemlesss transition between monrail, bus, subway and pedestrian traffic.  Enjoy this picture tour.  Most of all for the future i hope to fill in the cities to give the region a much better appearence, suggestions welcome.

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//region%20trans.JPG align=baseline>

    this is the area developed so far, small but diverse. much of the area devoted to agriculture with a strong tourist business in Breawater.  blackstone shores, Peters Point, Langsford and Benton are suburbs but still have ag.  delton is the major metro area, yes it appears to jump strangly from the region but as the surroundings are developed it should look better.

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//regionsat.JPG align=baseline>

    ok quick tour of the land. these first two pics are of rural sheraton, on the far left in the region.  I think these turned out nice, notice the monorail begining at the carport, this eventually deeds through the region all the wat down to Delton

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//shearton.JPG align=baseline>

    and further

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//farsher.JPG align=baseline>

    This nex quick pic is of benton home to the regions top university and many of the top minds and the begining of the regions main highway

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Bentonuni.JPG align=baseline>

    that is the university a nice part of campus and the highway entrance, here is one more of Benton before we move on to my favorite.

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//bent.JPG align=baseline>

    These next pics are from my favorite city Purple Hills thanks D12 for the name. check it notice toll bridge monorail exhchange on south with the rail monorail exchange in the north. the monorail splits to handle commuter going north inot the mountains and those continueing towards the city.

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//farpurrrrr.JPG align=baseline>

     now lets get real close and see a nice mountain neighborhood.

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Purple.JPG align=baseline>

    this is the rail/monrail exchange

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//transpurrr.JPG align=baseline>

    this is of the monorail, tollbridge interchange.

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//tollbridge.JPG align=baseline>

    ok some final mountainshots

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//mountainneigh.JPG align=baseline>

    are the roads real ? of course i don't understand the question the terrain has been eroded leaving it very bumpy-gives the roads that look.

    the region grows on......... over 300,000!! and it's still largely rural maybe29.gif.  Ok so here is the next major city Cape Drosky on the far right en of map.  This city developed rapidly in response to incredibly bright minds brought in to study at the cities excellent schools.  I'm sorry  no region view i'll post that later tonight.

    this first one is a downtown overview this city is laid out with a small CBD on a coastal plain only acesible to the residential suburbs through rail and a highway that passes under the golf course and exites and the back of the city right by Grainger

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//downtonwfar11.JPG align=baseline>

    you can see a little of the highway behind the convention center entering a tunnel under the golf course, you can also see the stadium and research institute, it is hard to tell but the CBD and houses behind the golf course are set on a hill above the CBD.

    ok i lied i have an old region view and gives you and idea, i had failed to develope the light reidential and golf course if it looks sparse.

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//regionold.JPG align=baseline>

    now some fun CBD closeups

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//the%20city.JPG align=baseline>

    i always have liked the trains

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//city2.JPG align=baseline>

    and at night

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//railnightclose.JPG align=baseline>

    enough trains how about some of the golf course

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//golf%20skyline.JPG align=baseline>

    and

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//golfar2.JPG align=baseline>

    finally
    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//golffar.JPG align=baseline>

    here you can also see the main suburban rail vein that connects the outside region to downtown,right track and industrial port, left tracks.

    now some of the industrial port and state of the art industrial waste refinement system

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//dischargeclose.JPG align=baseline>

    thought it looked cool i guess.

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//indusdischarge.JPG align=baseline>

    a couple more your almost done.

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//portclose.JPG align=baseline>

    enjoy comment for crying out loud i update for myself!
