Grey Scale Map My own creation Mountians and hills are where they are suppose to be. Rivers running through the Misty Mountians Now run though them. As well as a Marsh and lake that was missing in the one on the STEX.

Allright I have finally made my own map. Now this is my 1st attempt to make one from scratch.

 

The rivers are now in the right place. As are the lakes the map on the stex was missing some lakes and marshes. I have put them in. The Mountains are not as high as I would like them to be but I can fix that durring terraforming. I have begun to tarraform the map now.

Now in the books the mountians had snow on them so these are not high enough.

I am using the Snowcaped Mod and Pegs Rock mod. So the next set of pics you will see will have snow and granite looking rocks.

I am not done yet but here it todays update for terraforming. Once the mountians and hills are done I will terraform the rivers and lakes to open up the areas that the rendering process did not keep open.  Then I will add trees where the forests are then start city building.

With a lot of work today the Region is done being terraformed. Paying as close attention to the map as possible I have gotten the forests in and the mountains finished and hills done as well. I have opened the rivers that got closed and I made the marsh smaller. 
 Below you will find Pictures of the work. Tomorrow I start one of the cities probably Bree once again.

Welcome to todays update.

The east road has been started in Buckland. And The little hobbits have started to move in. The Hobbits have taken over the small homes allready in place. New houses are in the works. Farmers have moved in to. The city is starting to grow.

Wow, I wish I had known about this CJ before.  LOTR is my favourite book and movie of all time.  I wish MAXIS would do a Sim with castles and everything else from that time period. Anyways what you have done already is awesome and I can't wait for more. Have you thought of using Trolcas road modd (dirt roads)??  MOre pics, please and fast.

I have never really had a problem with hills. Sure the crops look a bit funny becasue of what the game does to the props.

 

Thanks those apples as you call them are suppose to be hills. I am still working those out. I may have some new ones in the future.

Now less apple looking. Will have 2 more windows and more detail of the roof sticking out. Will also have a lantern hanging from the roof and more detail on the door. Maybe...

wow, pmiller, you are doing some excellent work here. i really like your hobbit homes - the one with the slant grass roof looks spectacular, and i like the apple shaped hill home.

your towns also look very nice...nice, small and comfy.

and, yeah, i have the same look for some crops on hills...actually, it doesn't really look too bad, i guess.

Sure wish I knew how to get the crops to look better on a hill but o well... Its allright looking for some crops.

 

O I have a new grass crop comming out soon. Well maybe just for the CJ. This CJ has been alot of work so far and alot more to go into it. Trying to get the Residential lots done 1st. Next will be industiral lots then Commercial.

Update2 Getting there but not done yet. Still have to get the grass on the roof and do the lattern. I also have a person to place on the lot as well. Also a new well will be made to place on the lot. The lot will be done entirly in BAT then placed on a lot. This will help me keep my props down as well.

 

I hope to get this done in the next two days. i am out of time today so I wont be able to finish it today. Comments welcome as allways.

Hobbit home final update.

The lot even has grass for the base. I have allways wanted grass on the lots now I have it. As allways comments welcome.. soon as I get this lot to show up in the game I will show an ingame pic. As you can see the door and walls have more detail there is even a lantern hanging from the peek and night lighting as well. Allthought lighting was oil based and cooking was with wood so this lot will not use electrical. That sim you see on the lot that is now my very own and I called him Frodo.

The Hobbits have constructed a new home with the approval of the mayor. It is a really nice looking hobbit home. Larger less rounded hill. Grass on the lot as well.
