Shorter tunnels?

What I'm looking to do is run part of the light ground rail by using the hole digging mod.  If I use the ground lifter piece along the path of the rail 1 space wide, then run the rail on top, and run intersecting roads underneath it.  However, it won't let me build tunnels through such a narrow piece of land.  It seems the top of the raised land must be at least 3 tiles wide, not including the slopes, for it to build the tunnels.  Is there a mod out there which will allow such a short tunnel, or can I just edit a particular file myself to adjust this?

I realize I could just use the rail puzzle pieces, or elevated rail with converting pieces from the NAM, but it's really not the look I'm trying to go for in my cities.

Castun, I am in the process of modding all the transport types to allow shorter tunnels, and to allow tunnels on smaller cliff faces.

I have uploaded the mods for road rail avenue and both highway types, the other transport types including light rail will be in my next mod

Cool KT3, I grabbed your mod because I like the idea of the sloped tunnels, I wasn't sure if you also allowed shorter tunnels as well.  Let's hope it works the way I want!

The mod didn't seem to work for me. I still can't build the short tunnel needed. I still need to leave a space and just use the NAM puzzle pieces to put in a rail overpass, or make the top of the raised landmass at least 3 tiles wide, plus the slopes.

EDIT : Actually, I see a newer version on the STEX than the one I downloaded.  There is one put up today, and I think I grabbed the one from yesterday.  Is the newer one the correct one which should allow shorter tunnels?  Oh wait, I see the newer one is for highways....

Castun, as I said, the NEW mod is not uploaded yet, but hopefully will allow for shorter tunnels, it will also include the lower cliff face mod for ground light rail and even monorail, which is included in my first two mods for the other road/transport types. Hope that makes sense !
