Getting Bigger Buildings

I have just finally been able to learn how to control my "spending too early" habits and am starting to make a good amount of money each month. So I get to about 120,000 people or around that area, and everything stops and I go on to the next city or whatever. But I look on different sites and I see these MASSIVE buildings on photos of different cities and I see the buildings that I have been making look pitiful next to these.  Can I get some help on how to do that. I've been setting up like a "city block" thing for the entire city and it usually works VERY well...a "6 x 6" city block but obviously I'm missing something. Not that this matters but I'm always too afraid to make an avenue or freeway because of the fear of tearing down a whole street's worth of stuff and it would make me angry. Anyways. PLEASE HELP!!!

maybe you need to zone for larger buildings. most of the largest in gme buildings grow at 4x4 zoning. to zone that hold down your control button and drag the zone out. also is the desirability up for the area? if not try placing some plazas and parks to raise it.

Hey thanks a lot bro. I'll try and do that. I just thought that they'd overlap onto each other and would be large enough. But what your saying makes a lot more sense. And as far as this being in the worng room...I realized that after it posted, this is my first time on here. Thanks "augustachris"

Most of big buildings that you see are props... in other words, they aren't really buildings made from zoning, just basically landmarks. However, for those that are real, they either used some cheating technique, used a special type of lot that allows things to grow, or something that they know that we don't.
