Last night, I continued testing my current computer with a few games. In case you didn't know, with my current set up, only the 800 X 600 resolution can be used to view SimCity 4. That's because I'm using my TV as my computer's monitor and it isn't allowing some resolutions. Should I give up the sharp moniotor-like image quality, I could use the 1024 X 768 resolution and above, but I like the sharpness. I can actually read computer text on my TV!

Anyway, I don't think I've ever played SimCity 4 on that low of a resolution. Regardless, when I went to Mayor Mode, I foudn a big surprise. That area where the budget, advisors, charts, etcetera are was different. That area also has the mayor rating, population, money, and I think one other thing. Thing was, it was different! Now, I have seen it other ways in pictures. I always thought that was a foreign version or something. I don't know. All I know is it was different.

You might not see what the deal is. You see, me and "change" don't get along to well. Change doesn't like me and I don't like it. Simple as that. Change is bad!

So my question is, is the different panel area caused by a different US version or is it jsut because of the low resolution? Let me tell you this. It was ugly. It just seemed out of place and wrong.

The arrangement of the layout varies in order to fit all the features of the mayor mode. You can always change it back to 1024x768, if you wish.

Yeah, I had that problem once. It was from the 800x600 resolution. The only thing that you can do is adjust your gaming setup so that you can run in 1024x768 mode.
