how to rotate

i hate asking so many questions.... ok anyways i was using canal sets and trails and i dont know how or if there is a way to rotate the props. i use roads to make them face the way i want but this is REALLY time consuming. ive been sticking canals together but they wont fit because i need both of the props to face each other to join so ive been wondering...is there a way to rotate stuff before plopping?

And is there a list of shortcut keys for other things too? like bulldoze? selecting zoning types? placing roads or streets? or even opening up to rewards buildings?
