Hi,

Using rail in my region reasonably effectively, but have a questions.

1. I use single rail lines, but I've seen lots of pictures of double lines or more. Do you just lay down another rail line next to the current one? Can a single station service that double line, or do you need to build a station on the other side (on the other line)?

2. If you have a Y junction A, B at the top C at the bottom. Is it realistic in that trains can only go A-C and B-C, but not A-B? Really the Y is more like a straight with an offshoot at an angle.

Ok, to try and answer your questions...

1. Yes I think you do just put another rail line next to the current and I think you will need a additional station to serve extra tracks or you could just join them up through points at the station.

2. I find if it isn't a very sharp turn then it is reasonably realistic to have a Y junction so trains can get from A to B

There are many passenger rail stations on the STEX that serve 2 or more tracks.

You can join tracks for intersections (switches).
