Problem with details!!

I recently downloaded an update from the maxis website and when i installed it and started playing sc4 again I noticed all the detail from my recreational areas dissappeare. EG, i plop a park pice with the fountain, but the fountain won't appear. 

I have double checked and it is the update from the maxis website that gets rid of the detail. 

What can I do to get the detail back and keep the update????

When you download an update from Maxis, the graphics levels are automatically reset to low and if you want the detail to come back you have to change the detail levels back up to high from the graphics options in-game.
