Removing lots

I've got a few downloands where the lot and props will show up, but no buildings, or in two cases, brown boxes even though I have all the noted dependencies. I bulldozed the lots in question and removed them from the plug in folder. Problem is, the same thing still happens. Is there something else I need to do besides pull them out of the plug in folder? Usually, that works, but hese few just won't seem to go away. (Note that some of the lots will bring up names with the query tool that were never downloaded...intentionally, anyway...in the first place. This occurred before and after the removal. She-she clothing and Pumpkin Day Care are two that come to mind.) Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I just checked the STEX.  Those lots do not appear to be here.

Where did you get them?  If you got them off the Simcity.com exchange, you have probably caught a virus.  Do a virus scan.

Thanks...that was my first thought. I've done a couple of scans (Norton) in the last two weeks. Nothing shows. The lots were not downloaded by that name, rather, they appear to have been "attached" to something else. When queried, one lot, for example, will show "she-she clothing" on one part, which I never downloaded, "sign", which could be anything, and "Hattori"s Clockmakers" (in orange), which I did download, but removed all found instances from my plug in folder. This is all on one lot. Pumpkin Day Care wasn't downloaded, but also appears. None of these have buildings, they're only lots and props. I also dl'd and removed Mitsubishi Bank and First Bank of Colorado and still get the blank lots, with these names showing up on query. In fact I manually searched evey folder to remove anything that had anything related to the names in there. I don't dl anything anymore from Simcity. Had too many issues and quit months ago. STEX Rules! For what it's worth, I did also do a duplicate scan and removed duplicate files this afternoon to see if that may help. (Also, those lots were dl'd in the past couple of weeks, and that's when all this started. I was hesitant to note them, as I dont want to scare anybody off of a lot when the problem is most likely in my own computer/file system or internal conflict. I have the greatest respect for the BATters and modders, their time, dedication and talents.)

Funny, I read these forums thoroughly and have been lucky to avoid the major problems that some experience, but I get these little niggling issues that no one seems to have had. (Well, at least I can't find them by searching) And a hearty Thank You to you personally and to the others who have helped resolve the problems in the recent past. All the topics, feedback and advice have improved the quality of SC4 tremendously!
