Weird performance phenominom with screen resolutions

    okay first off,  I don't remember what the max screen resolution is but that is the one i'm talking about.

    Okay,  I have 512mb ram   So I would play small and medium tiles on 800x600 res.  And I would regularly get crashes.  (not related to plugins, I moved the contents of my plugins folder and that wasn't it.)

    so about a month ago I switched the res to the max(for photo taking) and didn't notice any differences at first,  took a couple of pics, didn't crash, took some more, didn't crash,    so I continued to play.   It didn't crash and would play Slightly better than at 800x600.

    Recently I started a new region and I have large regions,  Yes it's still slow but I dont get any crashes(well one time avast did something and It did freeze, but not crash.)

    anyways I'm puzzled????  is there any explanation to this?

    ***Note: performance is barely better, but nothing spectacular.

    You've got a point thier the same thing happned  me...hmm, mabye playing bigger is better?
