Got An Xbox 360, need some help

Hey everyone! I am the owner of a brand new Xbox 360 (and also the owner of a brand new $500 hole in my wallet) and I am having quite a bit of trouble getting Halo 2 map packs to work on it.

I have patched up my Xbox 360 with the patch required to get Halo 2 working, and went into matchmaking. I was unable to even start the countdown to start looking for a game because it said I was missing a required map pack, so I went out of  Halo 2 and downloaded each of them. Thinking I fixed my problem and could now enjoy my new awesome rig, I went back into matchmaking, and this time I was able to go through the countdown. However, when it gets to the "configuring game" part, I get a popup message saying I am missing the required map.

So, I went and downloaded each of the packs AGAIN. Still, I got the same error message.

Is it just me, or is Halo 2 not as compatible with the 360 as it is made out to be?

Any help is GREATLY appreciated.

That's wierd.  I had no trouble getting Halo 2 to work on live.

I would try deleting and then reinstalling the Xbox live patch and then redownload every map pack.

EDIT: I resolved the problem by deleting everything, and then redoing the Xbox 360 setup.
