The Terminator | relationships...so pointless. me? personally i want to buy my own rowhouse in Newark, fill it with guitars, punk memoribilia and records, than go to my 10 year high school reunion so i can tell all the kids i went to school with how stupid they are, and how much living in newark and slaking off and drinking beer and listening to punk rock and being on federal assistance and not caring what the world thinks of you and taking the bus everywhere and shopping at discount stores reallly reallly really rocks over their mediocre pathetic suburban lives.

Sorry bud, but that's the stupidest thing I have ever read!18.gif Thanks for the laugh!

10 years from now you'll look at who you are today and think Oh my god, I did what?! and laugh about it with your physically perfect spouse in a giant house in the burbs. Or you'll cry about it when you're homeless. could go either way. Life is unpredictable.

Hate to break it to ya, Term, but buying a house, rowhouse in Newark or otherwise, involves either having enough money to buy it or getting a mortgage, which involving being able to demonstrate a steady income.
As my grandmother was fond of saying 'The world doesn't owe you a living'.

quote>

My parents say that too....3.gif

I read the lyrics.  Definitely your kind of song but I find their reasoning to be less than compelling.   Basically I want XYZ, therefore people should give it to me.  The world doesn't work that way.

Isn't that an inherent contradiction in terms?

We can inspire others through witness so that one grows together in communicating. But the worst thing of all is religious proselytism, which paralyzes: “I am talking with you in order to persuade you.” No. Each person dialogues, starting with his and her own identity. The church grows by attraction, not proselytizing.    - Pope Francis

Yes, time to get the thread back on topic.
