Be sure your keying order is Alt+Ctl+Shift+R.  It matters.

Also if the map is the first one in your regions folder, it won't render.

When I open the region and the flat area appears, then pressing the combination, nothing happens! How to navigate to the .jpeg file?

Use the game to create a default region that will be lexically in front of the one you want to render.  Then open the region you want to render and press (serially, but holding each key) Alt, Ctl, Shift, R.

At this point you will get an open dialog box, or your game is sick.  If this doesn't work, reinstall your game and be sure you have update 1.

I did as you said and nothing happened, so I think my game is sick. The problem is that there are so many additional files and upgrades, like textures, patches, ploppables and so on, maybe causing conflicts installing them together that it takes about a day to fix it with all plugins. I think most of the "game-problems" arise because of the incredible amount of possibilities you can download and install.

Maybe one of you can once fix an overview or a guideline for us.

Thx anyway, and God save the Queen! (It's her birthday today!!)

There are several threads here describing the Binary Search method for debugging your plugins.  However, a good start would be to remove them all and see if the problem still occurs.  Copy them to a folder outsdie the game, and see what happens.
