Hopefully someone can \ will answer a few questions I have about the Lot Editor and Plug-in Manager-----any help will be appreciated.

    1.  Can I create a NEW \ EMPTY lot?  This way I can put what I want on it?

    2.   How do I delete existing items---buildings, trees and so on?

    3.   How do I open the .dat files?

    4.   Is it possible to make a "multi-functional" lot ?   Example: a lot with a police, fire station and hospital.

From what I've seen so far, ST is the best site when it comes to SC4.  Thanks to everyone.  I have downloaded so many things for this game. It has been well worth the money since I bought a couple years ago.

    1. Yes, just choose and open any lot while inside the LE and delete everything on it. You have to choose props first, when you want to delete the props, choose the groundtextures to delete them, choose the overlays to get rid of them and so on.

    2. see above... (1)

    3. same way that you open the .lot files

    4. I don't recommend that you do this, it causes often gamecrashes and sometimes other unwanted problems during gameplay. Many have tried and nothing much perfect came out of it.

Yes ....You're right, Simtropolis IS the best site when it comes to SC4.

Welcome to ST and enjoy your stay. 2.gif4.gif

BTW, if you want to get to know the game better, visit the Omnibus section on our site and have a look at Simtropolis' wisdom.

Then don't forget to have a good look at the mod section, where you can completely change the game
