Yeah, I really like that, Underworld, I can imagine seeing it on a seafront, reminds me a bit of a hotel actually!

    Loooong time since i`ve posted here, `ve been working on an other project on another site, but here it is a small update:

    Looks good, very contemporary! It reminds me of a Travel Inn by Southampton Airport railway station.

    The sky glass texture in the main lobby doesn't look quite right, I would suggest something a bit darker.

    @Gary Reggae: I`m not happy with the glass texture myself and it will be changed, I use a random texture during the moddeling stage for glass areas, so i can see how the inside details show up..

    This is not the most actual pic, i`ve added some more roofjunk, after this pic was made.
    Some minor details to work on, so i`m getting near the end of this fase...

    I`ve been playing around with the lights, still alot of work to do. (texturing, rendering, etc, etc)

    Looking good, my only comment would be the protruding glass stairwell at the front, the framework is a different colour on each part but it should be the same colour.

    While texturing the bat, i stumbled on to a problem:

    The right side of the pic is the original texture, the left side is how it turns out in a preview. I`ve played around with UVW-maps, other textures but nothing helped. Anybody got an idea how to fix this??

    Looks like the spline you've tried to apply that texture to is somehow not 'flat'. Try deleting the spline and recreating it, I've had a similiar thing happen.

    Thanks GaryReggae, it worked (see pic).

    Now another queston: I rendered it overnight, just to see how it looks ingame, but when i woke up, i found out that there was a render failure (code 5). Anybody knows what that means??

    I've had this problem with the roof of one of my models... I didn't work much on it lately, but I tryied to make a new spline, extrude it, and applying the texture again, and it worked fine on previews...
    This problem appeared when I cloned the roof, and rotated/mirored it. The textures were OK on the original roof, but weird on the clone... So instead of cloning a textured roof, I think I should only clone the initial splines and do the rest by myself... Hope this helps.
     
    There might be pics of this faulty roof in my thread called timo's bat experiments. The problem seems similar to yours.
     
    EDIT : Oooops! Sorry I didn't see Garryreagae solved the problem.

    It`s rendered and almost ready to upload to the stex, i just have to tweak it in the ilive reader and then test it.

    @GaryReggea: Where i live (the netherlands) are these type of buildings residential. This bat is actually inspired by a yet to be build appartment complex over here. But if you wanna make a commercial building of it, it`s oke with me.

    There is a small problem with the bachus building, it doesn`t work as a plopable r$$$ building, so i`ve made a landmark of it. It`s uploaded to the STEX.
