noahdiehl- its suppose to be completed in 2011, but the main building, not the spire, will be completed in 2009, and they just started, but in fact, i think they are ahead of schedule, its a slow process.

i dont really kno wut i am!? Im Bi, but out of 100% Im 90% gay and 10% straight, which is weird because I still find this one girl attractive and yet, all my true friends are girls, only one knows, and she lives 700 miles away from me. okay guys I have three more buildings for you, that are much taller than what I recently shoed you! This is A Tower or, Architect Tower, specifically dedicated to all the architects and BAT users in the ST community. As you can see at the bottom, is a pillar, which means that that side of the building is angeled, on the other side, its completely on the ground(for safetly reasons). This is The Baye Twin Towers. These buildings have gone through many designs and proposals, but in the end, this was the best one. At 1500 feet, theyy are one of the tallest buildings in my USD(upside down) Book. The smaller tower is 1250 ft. Its not my best drawing either. As i said these pictures are only sketches! And this is the second tallest building in my book. Its called Force 9 Tower. Why Force 9?? Because its the 9th tower in a project called "The Force" And this happens to be the 9th proposed 9th built and 9th finished(if ever happens) At 2,150 ft tall, the building is generally meant for office work, tourism, Resturaunts, Observation decks, etc. etc. The Facade there needs some work though, I messed uop a lot of times trying to "unbland it" As i have said before, Im not the best drawer in the world. I try my best, and Im only doing this for the benefit of others who may feel the same as me. Hope you guys liked this last update! Any kind of feedback is much appreciated!

LA, well, thats been kinda the influence on the whole gang thing. Not saying it is to blame its just that, things go in there good, and then they come out bad.

meh. Sure Vancouver is wondeful Im all for that! But some of these cities i barely even hear about, let alone I barely knew they existed. Like Adelaide, Perth( I know a Perth Amboy), Copenhagen, these cities barely make the cut for me because I have never even heard of them, maybe because I really dont studty european cities, but, a little bit more recognizable cities would be lovely. As for Toronto, Sydney, and Geneva, im fine with, jus alittle antsy about the whole"top ten liveale cities" To me "livable" means you can live in it. So when you say liveable only for 10 cities, does that mean, that all the other cities people, die??

Shingure- likely, but highly doubtful. The US is a yound country, along with the rest of the americas, the population is not aging faster than it is producing. How will NYC become the next New Orleans?? Unless a megaquake off on the west coast of Africa, a hurricane, yea sure, might do some pretty rough damage, but the NYC area can hold out most of the time.

Crazyyaya- yes half of the skyline in NYC is historical, and no, they cant tear anything down, but, that doesent stop them from building over other smaller buildings. Like what the Hearst Building did. The built there new headquarters above their old historical headquarters. And what Micah showed a couple posts ago, youll find that in the early pages of the thread, there are pictures, and it shows the transformation of the skyline by building over MSG(madison square garn, and old rail lines. from here on are some, not a lot of pictures, of proposed pictures, of what Micah showed earlier, LINK

Im not saying that I dont like the Freedom tower design. I love it and I am a strong supporter of it. Your points are all correct in every way. And yes I do know NYC is proposing more taller buildings Micah. But I also think that none of them would be built, only because although NYC has many projects going on now, the freedom Tower project alone, cost billions of dollars. And thats only because the economy is at a slow down for the moment. and keep this thread clean guys ! Because i can already see some people are starting to get just a bit roudy, but I doubt any of you will start flaming ! edit: OH and everyone look at this link from skyscraperpage. Duke87- yes actually the Freedom Tower, during the early beginnings of its proposal and designs, was in fact, intended to be the worlds tallest. Because it was thought of before the Burj Dubai even broke ground, which was in 2004. 2nerdy4u- what do u mean?? i have heard of the Chicago spire since it was even just a proposal. I just decided to bring up this convo now. ANd its 1776 ft thing. Yes the year of our declaration of indapendence. But it doesent have to be so symbolic like that. It could be called Freedom tower and be 5000 ft tall. They can make the main tower 1776 ft tall and then add on a spire. It doesent seem like some of you are getting my point.
