Back in 2003 these things were everywhere! My driveway is lined with huge trees and the cicada's would like to eat (or actually I'm not sure what they did with trees, but they liked them ) and when they died they would fall around the base of the tree. There would be hundreds of rotting cicadas around these 10 or so huge trees. Ofcourse I would have to walk down that driveway to catch the bus. It smelled HORRIBLE. I had to hold my breath the whole time. Also, people were eating cicadas! They would take off the wings and CHOP! gone. Others would cover them in chocolate and eat them. My friend at the time ate one and she told me to do it but I decided not to after I smelled hundreds of rotting cicadas. no thanks. I remember the sound, I couldn't get to bed at night. And I didn't need an alarm clock for awhile beause that is what I woke up too! -Ellie

For Mother's Day I made my Mom a slideshow of the flowers blooming in our garden. I use my brother's digital camera, it is a very good camera. I like to take pictures, but I'm not very good at it. Here are a few: I have tons more. And I can take more too, I love using this camera! I'll post back later with more. -Ellie

Frogface- You impress me more and more every time you update. The way you present the region is just outstanding. The suburbs are just.. I can't even think of a word to describe them they are that good! But I truely wish I could have the patience to build a region like you. Daniel- Oh geeze. This is brilliant. The way you take your pictures make the cities look so bright and very inviting. The nights shots are great and the Pacific Palace looks really cool! I also really like the Haborside skyscraper. Three years to build? I would think it would take longer. Anyways, I really enjoyed the update. I cannot wait to see DC in a few updates. And I cannot wait to see the next update (because I know what city it is!!) shhh... I won't tell... -Ellie

In my opinion those types of comments aren't bad. When I comment on CJ's I atleast try to say something besides a few words. I write a lot compared to people. Most of the time I blend some things like "I love how your residental looks", "This region has tons of potential!", "The nature in your CJ ties everything together" or comment on the newspaper/captions/etc. At the end I usually add something like "Keep up the good work!" or "Can't wait to see more!". But I truely spend time looking throught each update, see updates I missed and look at every detail. I never bash CJ's because I know I could never do anything like them! I understand that people don't have time due to RL and just want to pop in and say how everything is looking good. But what really bothers me is you look at the CJ forum and down the recently commented someone has gone through each CJ on the 1st page in 10 minutes. 7:33, 7:34, 7:35, 7:35... All the comments are the same! "hey good work", "lookin' good". Are they even reading it? How can you possibly read 10 CJ's in 10 minutes. A minute for each CJ? I mean, Come on! Atleast read it! But, I also think that this sort of comments are okay(as long as the arent "reading" 10 CJ's in 10 minutes) I appreciate every comment in my Sim Diary because I know that the Sims forums aren't the most active on the site. When people comment and say "Wow! Great story!" it means a lot because I atleast know they read it. Other time people ask questions like "What EP does X, Y and Z come from?" It means a lot that people take the time to go to a forum that they don'tr visit everyday to read my Sim Diary. Some people have never even played the Sims 2 and still read it! As for post count.. ehh.. well I've been here for a year and a half and I have 300 or so posts. Others have been here for 3 months and have 2000 posts! I think some of the younger members (ha! Coming for me...) look up to people like Jacky (just using you as an example because of your post count ) and want post count like hers. So they start spamming like crazy and all they care about is raising the number. I guess they feel like they have some sort of power if they have a large post count... but that's not the case. I just personally think people should spend more time actually reading the CJ's. A little comment here and there isn't bad but some more thoughtful or questioning comments would be nicer. I truely hate to see someone who has 15 minutes to spare to see how many CJ's they can comment. -Ellie Oh and I think that the other thread about spamming on CJ's was locked because people started naming names. So let's not have that

USA Nails by The Blood Brothers

One beautiful sunny afternoon, Ean(Eastwinn) and I decided to take some pictures. Ean was being a pain (typical) but the pictures actually turned out good.. well funny. First attempt: Me in the corner.... Ean looks a tad bit crosseyed. Second attempt: Me in the corner laughing hysterically! Ean is an angry child. And here's one from a month ago! crazy... I'm not too sure what I was doing. Or Ean at that! But it was our first time using the camera so we were just playing around. -Ellie

Just blame this whole situation on global warming... I don't think ST is dying and I am very fortunate to find a wonderful community like this. People come and go here. We lose some great members but we gain some members that turn out to benefit ST a lot. Long Live Simtropolis! -Ellie

Ghost Rider. I saw it in the movie theaters with a friend and we were crying we were laughing to hard. Cheesiest, sappiest movie ever. But its a good movie to laugh at!
