for english class last year, i wrote a small sci-fi story, not too long, about 10 pages, tell me what u guys think of it. here it is: Chapter 1 The hangar was huge; it could easily contain ten football stadiums and have some space left for a hockey arena. There was a hole in the roof for departing or arriving transports. Through the hole, you could see the electric blue sheen of a force field keeping the weather out. One transport came or went every minute, each carrying close to 300 people coming from or going to work. You could smell engine exhaust in the air and hear the whining of engines. Automated calls rang through the hangar announcing delays, arrivals or departures. The clean floor sparkled under my feet as I waited to board my transport. Through the large glass windows I could see the silver hull with its bloated belly. A small pit, conical in shape, protruded from the left side. The metallic silver door leading to the narrow, white and sterile corridor leading to the transport finally opened with a hiss and around 300 people crammed in, trying to get seats with a vewport. The transport smelled of aftershave, perfume and soap because of all the early commuters. The blue seats were comfortable and soft. They were arranged in four rows of two, running down the length of the transport, all 100 meters of it. The alleys between seats were narrow, just wide enough for one person and brightly lit.At the back, a door lead to the pit. The ride to Orbital Complex I was only about 30 minutes long. During the trip, a breakfast was served with the morning news on a small TV at the back of the seat in front of you. Seeing the station come over the horizon was still a breathtaking sight, even after you -

SYM Productions Fictional Projects

Date: 10/9/2005 5:05:19 PM Author: SYM Productions The MailQuick Building MailQuick has gone up the ranks in package delivery services... and is about to make a move on the ever-present UPS. To do this, the company managers decided to construct impressive headquarters as a statement to the commercial world: ' ...... ...... ...... ......' Oh, well, umm, they haven't really chosen their slogan yet... ANYWAYS here is the start on the ... a CDI_spy design... as you can see, the basic shape is done... looking to delve into the 'important details' as phillipbo's tutorial calls them... making each basic box or cylinder a bit more textured the 3d way, like carving out windows, overhangs, little side corners... stuff like that. - CDI_spy hey! spy! something just occured to me, make a MailQuick shop and build it in the shape and textured in the liking of a delivered package! dude, that would be awsome! -Yatagan_L -
