  2. Moving into Stankonia

Life has been going fast for old Jay, but like I said before fast can be a good thing. All around us in Fairfield new cities have been springing up, all very beautiful for it's own reasons. But you should definately see Vader and Avon, I collected some photo's from the cities for nostalgia. Ya know when Stankonia is famous I can tell my grandchildren gramps saw it all. Have a look! I got offered a job in a new area of Stankonia, they want me to be the executive buyer in one of the major fashion corporations. Developments of East-Stankonia on the other side of Ackstin River will start right away after Andre International Airport is finished. Talk to you soon!
  3. Urland, a (mostly) rural coastline

Wow! that overview looks so amazingly realistic! Thanks for visiting my CJ too and giving encouragement, I'll post the next update tomorrow. Hope you'll like it!
  4. Moving into Stankonia

Thanks for the encouragement guys, I'm currently working on developing the suburbs of Fairfield, a farm area south/west, a small airport to the south of Fairfield and the city of Vader to the east of Fairfield which is going to connect the western regions of Stankonia to the sea through seaports. Does anyone know if I can download customizable seaports like with the airports? If so, can you point me towards the download? Unfortunately, the custom beaches lot does not seem to work too well with any of the water mods See what I mean? Also, a sneak peek at the coastal area near the residential development in Vader: Thanks again for the encouragement. Wasn't sure if I should continue or not. I've got many more shots ready, I just need a day or so to make them into a story.
  5. Moving into Stankonia

Hey dude, been a while. I was just running off to the real estate agent. We're about to move, life in Fairfield has been good to me and my bank account. But you wanted to hear a bit more about what's been going on in Fairfield huh? I'll give you my scrapbook, it'll have to do for now I really got to go. Just give it back to me next time I see you and I'll give you some more info on all the pictures.
  6. Moving into Stankonia

Friday was a strange day. We said goodbye to all our old colleagues and told our friends to come visit us soon and off we went. After a few hours drive we reached the highway leading us into Stankonia. SA-74 first lead us through a farm area, I can only suspect these farms supply Fairfield with food. Have to admit the crops do look tasty. Driving further down the SA-74 and we're now getting close to our new home. The moving truck carrying most of our stuff is not far behind us. We were driving in medium traffic between packed cars and trucks while the opposite side of the highway was completely empty, don't think anyone is moving out of Fairfield yet. To the right we can see some clear fields, for scheduled further commercial development in the woody area around the highway. East-Fairfield, that's the exit we need. We take a right exit and enter the highway that leads us further into town. Soon the highway turns into an avenue. We look around us and what we see is a very surreal scene. Brand new homes, and more homes that are still under construction. People coming from every corner moving into Fairfield, moving trucks everywhere. We take a right turn at the end of the avenue, and drive west again towards Bell Street where all the educational facilities are. In the distance we can see the towering chimneys of the gas power plant. Finally we arrive at our new home. It's looking good, and exactly as it did on the architects drawing. The neighborhood seems to be peaceful and quiet, with a view over a park on the other side of the road, and Bell Street just down the road. Ah, there is the truck. Time to unpack!
  7. The Brastoval Bay Area

I just wanted to say that I've been awestruck by every page and every update you've made. You have got the most awesome custom files, those roundabouts, and walls simply rock! May I ask where you got them? I have not yet seen them. Please never stop this region, and giving us updates
  8. SC veteran with noob questions

Right, I just noticed. Stupid me, talk too soon. Thanks
  9. SC veteran with noob questions

Got Rush Hour yesterday. Installed some of these custom files, which are awesome However I'm looking for these modds that you mentioned before. I can't find them on the menu to the left (only All Files, Lot Files, BAT Files, Prop Files, 3DS Files, Textures, Maps, Upload). Maybe I'm just being stupid (or lazy) but where can I find these modds?
  10. Show us your Accomplishment!!

Wolf_pt how can you create beaches so straight? When I try to edit a terrain (standard SC4) It seems nearly impossible to make a straight coastline. Am I missing something?
  11. Show us your Downtown!

Not as impressive as most of the downtown area's in here. But Logan the largest city in my region at 220.000 pop. No added files at all, just standard SC4: And the Convention Center area: Hope you guys like it anyway.
  12. whats your favorite cars?

Yeah the BMW 850 has to be one of the sexiest cars around indeed. That model just seems to be timeless. Another car that's really easy on my eyes is the Alfa Romeo 33 (americans might not know this car), it's actually really cheap here in Europe and loads of fun to drive. I used to own a red one: I'm pretty happy that one of my dream cars is so affordable
