Planck Here are some random views of the growing city of Planck:

Thanks very much for the comments, Fabiocb and jaqulina.... Roosa Roosa is a town located between the cities of Tranquility (to the west) and Planck (to the east). Magik Avenue (Highway 1), runs through both Roosa and Planck.

Phenomenal work... you have a great touch for making things look very realistic. My wife's job has been moved to Baton Rouge ever since Hurricane Katrina hit us here in New Orleans...I know you're not trying to replicate the city, but you're still doing a fanstastic job of making it look like a real city.... the idea to use the real roadways was great.

Man, this is one of my favorite CJs... I hope you can get it sorted out.. good luck.

I plan to pretty much fill up the region with big cities, suburbs and small towns..... maybe from there it will grow to a super metropolis or something... I'm still not sure, I'm just letting it unfold in an organic way.

Welcome to Page 3 This is not entirely related to the CJ... but I had to put my dog to sleep the other day.... I wrote a little tune in her memory, and recorded it on two tracks with a flamenco guitar... I think that it makes a great background for looking at the pics of Apollo County because it has a real mellow vibe, kinda like most of my cities.... Magik.mp3 (2.4MB) I also named a street after her in Apollo County..... RIP Magik

I finally made it through all 51 pages! Awesome work, very inspirational.

Very nice so far.... with all the planning behind this, it should be really interesting to see how it turns out.

Oh I did read that tutorial, I was already doing most of those things in my suburban areas.... some of the pictures he posted from other journals were very inspiring though.....

Hey Praiodan, I appreciate the suggestion.... I'm actually looking at various thing trying to get ideas for different suburbs... a few city journals on here, and some satellite photos etc.... the area to the east of Tranquility is going to be one huge suburban city, and I've tried to include several suburbs surrounding Tranquility.... the screenshot is kind of far out to see it, but near the golf course there are a few different suburban areas. I'm trying to learn how to make them look even more realistic, but obviously I'm not there yet..... Anyway, I'm learning as I go with this... I think I'll try and post some closer pictures of my suburb areas and see if I can get more tips on how to improve them....

I know about the G key, but I get so used to looking at the grid that I forget about it entirely... DOH!
