I was looking through a city of mine and found something strange: Somebody...wasn't paying attention...or was drunk? I don't know, but last time I checked PEG's woods were not transit enabled.

Lol... I am the worst at naming cities. I like to name them after my internet name, so they'll be like "Faceless City" and stuff like that. One of my cities is called Googlesburg, and another in the same region is called Loompa. Also, I have a Velo City and a Startnu City. Sometimes my industrial cities get names like "Blob" and for the second "Blob Squared." In one region, it was my goal to include "Bob" in every city name. I had Bob, Bobsville, Bobsburg, Bob City, Bob Hill, The Bob, KaBob, SaBob, FaBob, LaBob, San Bob, Bobby, What Bob, Bob Lake...the list goes on...it's rather ridiculous. Recently I've been giving them more serious names, though. I'm not so bad as I used to be, naming my first two cities of my newest region "Sylett" and "Tristop" which don't sound too bad. For a while I was using semi-random typing, then making something readable out of that, to get my city names, but I've been getting better at coming up with decent names.

My cities are usually...um...hmm...they're all different, really. I like some of everything...I just like variety.

Ah, music. I like almost all music, but there are a few styles I like more than others. I like orchestral, classical music. Pretty much anything from the late 1700's(Mozart, Haydn, Beethoven) to today. I also like rock, and jazz.

These tall buildings aren't easy to get, much harder to get than in the previous games. You gotta have lots of demand, and don't be surprised if you only get a few really tall buildings for a while. In fact, I've only gotten one real skyscraper in a region with almost 600,000 people.

From what I've seen, police are very important, in larger cities - crime can have very negative effects on desirabilty. Smaller tpwns can go without them, but anything bigger than 50K, I'm going to have decent police coverage, at least for certain places in the city. I'll have problems if I don't. Bones1: Looks like an interesting mod. I'm not sure if I want to use it, though, but I'll keep reading this topic to see what other people have to say about it.

Lol, well I don't care about the city....which is why I didn't put any time into it. It just sits there near the corner of my region.

This is only a medium sized city, but it's still pretty bad. I threw it together really fast...

Ah, now I see what he meant. I also make my sims take the main avenues and stuff. Try to not make low capacity roads that go strait to the sim's destinations. I usually place jobs near major roads and make sure my sims' best way to get there is to take the major roads. It can take some time to get used to it. I'm still not that great at it... Lol... spa said: Why would a sim go through the trouble of getting on and off the highway if there is a place right around the corner where he or she can work? Sometimes I find myself wondering why, when my sims can work right around the corner, they drive to the other side of the city.

A picture of this problem would be really useful... The NAM might fix the problem, if you don't have it...and it's got a lot of other cool stuff with it...

If I get a next gen console, it will either be Xbox or Rev. I need to wait and see just what this revolution is before I can make a decision. I've always liked Nintendo, but sometimes their stuff is just weird(V-Boy) or almost useless(GBA/GC connection, e-reader), but it looks like they've been getting better(DS!).
