Deathtoall replied to your_adress_here's topic in Current Events
Monkey waiters! Sweet! or should i say furball? I want to go and visit them and tell them they fodd is overcooked to see the response In Paris they have a resturant with blind people and the whole place is in darkness so customers experience what the waiters do day to day. -

Nice work you two! Well deserved! -
Am i the only person who actually likes the Prius? For it's looks? One in a million maybe? The new one looks like the Mercedes CLC 180, well the back anyway. Some photos were leaked also. As for the volt, i think that they are making a good statement and are encouraging cars that aren't so heavy on fuel. I don't like it's look though. But it is a start and not dreadful, as some say about the Prius.

You people are giving out over only 250gb?!!!! The biggest download plan here(for home use) is only 150gb and it's pretty damn expensive! I'm on 20gb! And is a small fortune! Between 4 computers! But it doesn't run out atleast considering the use it gets. But 250gb! thats massive! Stop complaining you have it so good!

Anyone else see the Men's 10M diving? The Australian got 4 10's! Olympic record and prevented a Chinese clean-sweep in Diving! His dive was incredible! Ski- Australia competes in Green and Gold. We have for over 50 years. I don't know why really. Look at our Rugby teams, Football/Soccer, in fact most teams sports. Except Cricket which is White with a green cap.

IS there a point in which the game has gotten to big to play?
Deathtoall replied to ewd76's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
I think that most comps can't handle the massive amounts of data. I know that my game will quit automatically back to desktop after any city approaches 200,000 people after a play for a while but in your case it sounds like a virus, or re-install the game. -
Holy hell! I was talking to Dasilva before he released the vid and he said it was amazing and we got some little teasers aswell but, i wasn't prepared for it to be this extreme!!! I mean wow! I can't express myself. I can't even play sc4. I feel so bad becuase it is still ages away! But don't hurry and ruin it Monte Cristo! As said before, people were wondering about the trees on the side of the road, especially for the bridge which is not something you see everyday. I think as some of the earlier bridges pointed out that the additional items (trees and other stuff) is optional, at least i hope so.

Americans Drive 10 BILLION miles less May 08 than May 07
Deathtoall replied to confused04's topic in Current Events
I can agree with you Confused but not in relation to the US. Down here in Australia, in Sydney to be exact. The outer suburbs built on freeways with many transit options are under increasing pressure from risings interest rates and petrol prices and are going in droves to what little Public Transport there is after 20 years of neglect by the state. Our railway lines operate at nearly 150% capacity. All of them are overcrowded and coupled with services running late is frustrating commuters. The Government is now looking at building a system of metro lines and of course being in opposition territory we get empty promises and little funding when if they want to take serious pressure of the Harbour Bridge and tunnel a rail link is a must. But then the government loves getting toll rods becuase it has little outlay for them. WE used to have a massive tram network, with year ridership of over 400million in a city that was around 1.5to 2million people, you do the maths! So i quess that now people realise the car age is over and it's back to rail and public transport and time to curb the burbs! -
G'day back from a fellow Aussie. There was a few buildings from Australia (Ben Chiefly Tower Sydney etc) on the STEX, wether they are still there is another thing. AS for a BAT team there wasn't one i'm pretty sure (at least on here). There is a few Australian members around. So welcome to Simtropolis (Or ST as some say) and enjoy yourself in an active SC4 community.

Smart four two please! I like them but i prefer an old golf, for a first car of course! I think the R32(Not a skyline) is sweet but i'd rather save and buy a GTI when i have the 40 or so thousand dollars. Or what about the Clio v6?, hot hatch with a v6!

Matt Hardin goes to 42 countries and dances in them in various places, many familar sites. What a holiday! The link to youtube video It's pretty well made and he also has some other videos. What are your thoughts?

One thing Duke, some of my conservative friends idolise Daniel Pipes, now even he's considered an extreme right winger in your country so you go on believe that they are libs by US standards. If you don't know Daniel Pipes - youtube him, and i warn you, he is scary.

Nvidia. I have an ATI, and it is terrible, it resets my gpu every so often. I like my old comps Nvidia way better!

My two cents While not meaning to be bashing the US, i quite frankly find the condition of public health in America to be terrible. Some of the things i have heard and seen are a direct violation of human rights. I think that a fear of "communism" is not seperated from socialism and is preventing people(like Hilary Clinton, who was told to shut up by Bill during his presidency on universal health-care) solving it . Communism is to me where the government controls everything and his the "Bad" one. Socialism is simply where the governement is responsible to the people, has elections, is open but it is a central planned economy but people incredible freedoms. Similar to what i believe Sweden is(feel free to prove right/wrong). Hows does governments getting invloved in things mean that they taking down freedoms? when it is actually helping them. People can't always see the difference in my opinion. I like socialist ideas but i know that as so cleary pointed out is people are greedy, greedy, greedy with a little bit of greed sprinkled on top for extra taste. But irrespective of wether your a Socialist/Communisnt/Capitalist/Democratic governemnent or whatever your ideoligy is, Health Care should be Universal but people should have an option to opt out for private but still, from your taxes, pay for the general. (My government actualy gives an incentive to take private cover). I think that just because your may have socialist ideals doesn't mean that there is no room for money motivation. It is the simplest way to get things done. Here people on the dole will have it confiscated if they don't regulary turn up to job interviews etc and similar plans are in place for other welfare payments and the dole is barely enough to live on but we still have Publc health care and some socialist ideals while still being capitalist. Mixed Market economies are the best, goes back to what your mumma told you, everything in moderation = balance. Which i know is hard to get. Duke, you may not care about Joe from Town X but what about when your friend Billy down the street parents can't afford his Asthma treatment? Or your teacher gets paralysed in an acccident where they weren't at fault and can't pay thier medical bills? Or your parents can't get kemotherapy (i know my spelling is atrocious) or whatever. To me, Joe from X is a random with a problem, not your problem but the nation's problem. Do you A) Leave Joe to sort it out? B) Help Joe? C) Use Universal health care? What would your answer actually be? I know i would pick C) I would like to add that people i know who are the biggest conservatives support Universal Healthcare. Utopia? ridicoulus. Impossible. But we can still have some working for the greater good. The UK system of Social-Democrat is one that i think works well. Universal health-care etc and all that Jazz. I don't see how people could complain about it being better. I know people won't agree. But simply to me "Socialism" has no connection to personal freedoms. "Communism" does. Enough said.

2008 Best Places To Live In the World
Deathtoall replied to masochist's topic in Architecture & Urban Planning
Not surprised that Sydney has dropped to 10 from 9, i would have though to have dropped to 15. But i was surprised that Melbourne dropped. Normally it ties with Vancouver for first. Vienna is definite choice. Auckland? = interesting choice. Anyway, atleast Sydney still is in top 10! -
I just read this. The girl way have set off an explosion over a boy in a love triangle. The woman inside was severly hurt and a neighbour was killed. What is the world coming to? Can someone really be that jilted over love? http://news.ninemsn.com.au/article.aspx?id=561151

Boggy1, That took alot of courage to say that. You are very brave to say all that! You have made me want to get all this off. I hve been bullied for as long as i can remember but that would probably down to the fact that i was so different. Bookish, shy and i had obvious speech problems and i am a little bit compulsive. My first school was pretty normal, they had good anti-bully measure and the same and like everyone else i had scraps and fights. The odd-name or rejection here and there. By now i had got over my speech problems but it didn't really matter now. But what was worse would be my first years at high school( male school). I was constantly attacked because i was so different. I live in a costal area but i'm not that fond of it and i don't really play much sport and i went to a school with a big empahsis on sport. I remember two kids that personally went out of there way to annoy the crap out of me. Everyday i remember wanting to hide from them. I felt like that there was no way out and the hangman's noose was getting tighter. I dreaded going to school and even when i had a rare moment where i felt good like when i did well in a test or something allong came "nerd" and excetera and when i did badly it was twice as worse. But in a way my test results in away beacme my own saviour. I put most of my effort into them. Even my few friends were attacked for hanging with me. I often contemplated dropping out or worse. I thought the world was out to get me and that it hated me for being o different. But i managed to soldier on. I had a massvie relevation. I know it's cliche but for me it has really worked. They were only trying to bring me down. And of course the wonderful place know as Simtropolis has helped. Eventually the school took action and the two worst kids moved to otherr school, i don't know if the school made them or they just did. I still haven't finished school but now i am friends with most of my year. There is still the groups but the year is moving closer. Now i actually like going to school and participating. Thanks to everyone else. You have given me the courage to say this. I can't thank you enough.

A man sued a bear in Macedonia for eating honey from beehives on his farm. Whats funny is that they ended up charging the state for the bill. http://www.smh.com.au/news/unusual-tales/guilty-as-a-bear-can-bee/2008/03/14/1205126154033.html
