  1. Your political views

Bah, no vote option for the gun toting tree hugging hippies who want drugs banned Now that the joke has broken the ice i would say myself as undecided so to make an analogy here goes. Left of Liberals and right of Conservatives. My view on differing subjects vary incredibly and given that politics is filled with compromise i normally head left. Their policies generally seem to be what i want.
  2. America Revolts

I believe the Tea Party comes from the Boston Tea Party. But the fact is, as already pointed out (By Mr C) is that the move is to reinstate a fairer level of tax on wealthy people, i doubt that even 10% of United States citizens earn over 250,000 dollars a year, the level at which the higher tax comes in. Its just people complaining about taxes that mainly wont effect them. As for the spending, atleast its not another war and there is plans for much needed reform which part of this money is for. 15,000 people? Over the country? Even here thats a paltry amount, we have had over 100,000 people in protests in a single city. Summing up, people need to see through alot of this absolute (i cant say what) and realise its a simple economic, capitalist move and you already have pretty low tax rates. Republican spin, i say you lost control now go figure why and learn to move on.
  3. Opening Cuba To The US

Its good to remove the restrictions on Cuba, alot of people suffered heavily when the USSR broke up and they were Cuba's main source of supplies and money and with them gone Cuba hasnt really got a leg to stand on. Bring them into the modern world and lift the embargo. They have suffered enough.

  5. Change we can believe in.... Version 6.0!

Nice! My only problem is that maybe its little to bright, especially the white in the forums but its hardly that big of deal. Great work, got a surprise when we got the blank page but it was worth it. Everything is so nice and neat with clean lines and all that other designer stuff Congrats to the chef and his dishpigs.Marvellous!

  10. Earth Hour

The Czech Republic actually got a law passed removing excessive lighting during night time. I hope you all participate with Earth Hour, it has been happening for a short time here now and has gone global. Turn off your lights. Simple really. The actual idea is to show solidarity on Global Warming though.
  11. US and Russian satellites collide

Look on the bright side! Now aliens know where to trace those annoying beebing sounds affecting their satellite TV Just look for the calling card, a planet with a landfill for company. Or it could be used for asteroids deflection Jokes aside it is still amazing that there is that much space junk up there. I knew 50 was a rather small amount for satellites but that photo boggy posted demonstrate a large poportion of it. Considering the time it took just to knock pluto off as a planet imagine the time for an international body governing space. ( Kicking Pluto was good but i had already past year 5 astronomy)

  13. Digital TV Switch delayed. But not for a 2nd time

Besides, in isolated areas, those people will have satellite anyway.quote> Right said Fred!
  14. Sorry for the double post. I dont know how it happened.
  15. The temperature was reported at 47 degrees Celsius which is above 116 Fahrenheit. Given recent days of 45 plus and low rainfall and a drought stretching for almost 5 years the whole area was a tinderbox. It is a shame that so many people have lost their lives so quickly. Adding the tragedy is they fact that many small communities are yet to be accessed by emergency services and lots of people are unacounted for. This is currently the second worst bushfire in European settlement history. The worst was in the same areas in 1983 when 75 poeple died, that was refered to as Ash Wednesday. I hope that when access is returned that they found the missing people alive and well. EDIT - 76 confirmed dead now. http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2009/02/08/2485648.htm That makes it the worst bushfire in European settlement now.

  20. 2008 Trixie Awards

sHmm, what about a Yorkie? Now that is a candy bar, i was so happy when they were finally sold down here. They are so good. Those from Ireland and Britian should know what i mean. Mr Abcvs, yesterday i walked into a Aldi and they were selling Moros. I bought a whole handful and scoffed them. Oh Ski, it not across the pond for me, its down under The Mars bars completely trashes the Milky Ways any day of the century. I was so disspointed when for a couple of months them and snickers werent being made I know its not exactly a candy bar but it has chocolate and is a biscuit. The humble Tim Tam is the best biscuit in the world. Even the Oreo knows its place. http://www.about-australia-shop.com/images/gr200timtams.jpg And the best way to eat one, Tim Tam straws! www.rahul.net/clb/pix/DanTimTam.jpg http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tim_Tam
  21. 2008 Trixie Awards

Well atleast is was only binary and not roman numerals that got mentioned. Skigeek, you dont know what a Mars Bar is is? Dont you get them over there? Geez, you people miss out on Mars Bars and Tim Tams I think Abcvs is messy with his own medals. They seem to change to much to be the work of someone else. Wheres my mars bars muffin for figuring that out then? Nice kiwi btw, but i prefer Wallabies.

Craig, you scally raggamuffin you 55 Ad-Hoc, what are you, worse than the local planing authorities? Or was it, "shoot i cant nominate again in that category and just had to make one up for that person"? That 2 percent fail the sanity check? i though with craigs insanity it would be more like 10% with 99.999% of that craig . You should also changed your sig to have "there was a nice banner here but cockatoo's numbers messed up the coding"
