As an Australian who can't vote i think it was time for a change, the only thing my area wasn't not going to, not in a long time. I think that they have similar policies but people don't like Howards soft stance on Enviroment and AWA so they went lesser of two evils in away. But go greens, balance of power! Edit, Maxine McKew will probably just win, after postals. I hope she does. I never like Howard that much.

I would have to agree with you and i am from the 90's! But, they are dangers today, we are still discovering all sorts of issues in todays society, so just don't foget that before you judge this generation as the best, remember we still have another 20 or so years to discover how bad modern things(todays issuses) are. People always discover problems with previous generations. Now i'm not saying that your wrong, i agree with you but, based on the current info , this generation still has alot of time to prove or disprove itself. Hopefull we can live up to your expectation and opinion, i hope (severely) we do, but don't forget we have a lot on our a plates(global warming, end of oil). How can u compare something that has happened with something that is just halfway through. P.S But at least in the 50's they were blisssfully ignorant!

A while back there was this thing on the 5 cities that were considered world cities(various reasons) No certain order here Sydney London Paris New York Shanghai or Hong Kong) I would say it should be between these cities if it came to decide one. Shanghai, Hong Kong,Singapore,Sydney,London,Geneva,New York Personally they should make a new city for it one in the centre of the Pacific but it would have to be on a new island

Sydney is my favourite(possible bias). It has world recognition becuase it is so beautiful and the city compliments the harbour and everything where as Melbourne is really flat but they make up for it it with culture and the buildings. Hence why Melbourne's trnasport is better than ours, we have to deal witth some pretty hilly terrain. P.S if any ones says Aus Open and F1 racing for Melbourne F1 racing was stolen from Adelaide in 1996(Hence the rivalry?) Aus Open stolen from White City, Sydney althought i don't know when. The Canberra thing. Melbourne was capital in 1901 after Federation(many reasons for this like a gold rush etc) They choose a spot that was halfway between Melbourne and Sydney to ease rivalry for a new capital somewhere between 1901 and 1920(exact dates i can't remember) Because of two world wars there wasn't much money for construction and it wasn't untilt he 40's and 50's that most was finished. Melbourne was cap for 27 years i think. Please correct me if i'm wrong and for the F1 and Aus Open i was only brining to you attention that Melbourne did not always have them. I would love to see them return to their former cities.

It's not Vietnam as in Vietnam they use the same letters(characters) as us becuase of da French. I would say however that it does have a French influence(the road signs) Phneom Phen( I can't spell it, but capital of Cambodia) or somewhere in Laos?

i feel let down by EA. I hoped they would actually continue the current trend andmaybe have some community consultation. I hope they don't cause the end of the simcity franchise
