Wow! I like it. That was some fast growth for 1 update. But no matter it still looks great. Yes please continue. And converting png's is very easy, just open up your My Documents/Simcity 4/Albums folder and double click on the picture, press that save button and tell it to save as jpg. Then delete the png version.

Update 6 I've actually got more time on my hands than I thought. So I thought why not give them that update. Here it goes update 6! Dartmouth College in nearby Dartmouth heard about Brooklines growing transportation problems. Commute times were skyrocketing and theres nothing normal forms of mass transit could do about it. So Dartmouth College came up with a massive, multi-billion dollar plan that would totally revamp the transportation network. And with the help from a federal grant, construction went underway for the: An impressive system of rapid transit including monorails, buses, subways, and elevated trains. Many buildings had to be moved or destroyed at the cost of the city. But so far it has been a success. The reason its called Dartmouth, you ask? Well for one thing the first official start of the system is in Dartmouth and because Dartmouth started the program. Update 5.5 Really Quick update. Thats why a gave it a half. Well I've had 5 updates in 5 days so I think I might tone it down now that I'm busier with sports and school starting soon. But don't worry this won't be forgotten. I'll have a great update tommorow. Kennebunkport had some large expansion next to the airport. So the highway there was also lowered into the ground to give it a nice look. I also added some piers to give it a more sea-front feel. Thats it for today, not too impressive just a few touch-ups. But I'll have a great one tommorow! Thanks again for all the comments.

All I know is that the UDI has some major flaws in it and I have indeed completed that mission before. The bus appears on which ever bus stop is closest to the area you are viewing on your screen. So go to a less congested area, so your bus starts there. Because sometimes if you start you will be placed like at an intersection on top of cars causing you to fail your mission. And i wouldn't advise using the shift key, as if you want to go fast sometime you need to go into oncoming lanes to avoid traffic. Just my suggestions. Do you follow now? The Simcity 4 strategy gave this mission a Medium difficulty level.

Well if hes not having pictures here for another month then why don't this thread be closed. Theres no point in it staying. Besides the Spam must be destroyed and locked up anyways. EDIT: I see you haven't even started Alenvale in its already 3 days past your set deadline of Wednesday. So why start another if you haven't started that one.

Just keep trying is all I have to say. It doesn't look like your doing anything wrong, like I kind of said before, it was whipped up kind of fast and us at Simtropolis have discovered many flaws, so yes it is hard but possible.

Well I never really do the UDI missions, they were just a little teaser they put on the box to get you to buy the expansion. Free Drive is fun sometimes but the missions are somewhat impossible in large cities. If the only reason you do it is for the reward buildings there are easier ways to get them. PS I always thought that mission specifically was a hard one.

Update 5 Disaster struck Brookline when Eastland Grand (thanks to illtonkso for those magnificent buildings) number 3 building caught on fire while it was undergoing renovations. No water line was hooked up to the building while it was being renovated so the electrical fire that sparked the blaze was not contained. There was also a lack of fire protection in the area so it took longer than it should for fire crews to show up. By the time they were there, the other smaller building undergoing renovations was collapsed along with the original, and another building full of people. The buildings collapsed so quickly. a witness reports. There was a few explosions before they all went down one after another. a Transit Police officer exclaims. When the fire crews arrived 3 buildings were piles of rubble while another 22 story one was ablaze, this 22 story structure was also with out water since the other 3 buildings destroyed the water line. Eastland Grand 7 was just barely saved. If we hadn't put her out sooner, she would have gone down in 5 min. says the Fire Chief. In all 58 people died, most of whom were construction workers working in the renovated buildings. Another 120 people were injured. Many people were air lifted to the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Dartmouth via their new DHART (Dartmouth-Hitchcock Air Rescue Team) program. Dartmouth Medical purchased two Helicopters (actual information from the real medical center in my state), a Eurocopter EC-135, and an Agusta 109c. Pictured here is the EC-135. As you can see the building are still without water: But good things happened too. A new massive seaport was built in order to accomdate for the growing industry. Growable BATs should just grow when certain requirments are met (like rewards) check their readme files and find more information from there.

YAY!! SC4 fixed. Now time for update 4! Alright the new airports in place, we've got a university, and a capitol. But where is the vacation retreat or the place where the high wealth sims live? Easy, a little place called Kennebunkport! Kennebunkport is also a get away retreat for the Prime Minister: His gated entrance with armed secret service agents: (He must be having a party) Residential Area with the Kennebunkport Country Club: Downtown Kennebunkport, and part of the in-ground highway system: Kennebunkport Zoo, Walter Craft Field, and York Park. York park offer a top of the line recreational experience! You can fish in the man-made pond (you have to throw back what you catch!), play all sorts of games, and boat or fish in their annex park on the water-front. Easy access to the park by way of the foot bridges! (the textures in the canals got messed up, sorry): Kennebunkport Private Airport, (partially private). A small terminal that only takes passengers with vacation packages through hotels in the area. The rest is all private hangers and airplanes that serve the wealthy residents in the area. Theres also 2 goverments-Air Force Hangers. One for Fighter Jets and Marine One, The other for Air Force One: The Hotel District: You may recognize this mall from Brookline. Thats because it is. Brookline decided the mall was taking of some valuable office space. And that the mall needed to be relocated to a position still accesible by Brookline residents. So they decided Kennebunkport was a good bet. So the mall was dismantled and re-built here: Thanks for all the comments. Hope you liked the update. I'll have an update later today but SC4 keeps crashing. I've located the problem and Its with a new driver for my sound card that I installed and I'm going to roll it back. I live in Merrimack County, New Hampshire. Hillsborough County is the next county over.

Update 3 We start with a new town. Dartmouth, located just to the south of Brookline. Dartmouth has a population of 3,000 people. Most of whom work in Brookline, or at Dartmouth College. Dartmouths population invcluding college students nearly doubles to 5,500 people. Dartmouth also is home to one of the finest Medical facilities in the county, Darmouth Medical Center. It has a special childrens facility where most of the children in Brookline who injure themselves go. It also takes most of the serious incidents that Brookline Hospitols just can't handle. The DART helicopter is one of the greatest resources the facility has to offer, it saves lives. The main College Campus: Forgot to mention the Dartmouth Cougars, one of the best football teams: And finally Dartmouth Medical Center: PART 2 The Demand for an airport was high, with a regional population of 270,000, an airport would be vital for more growth. So Hillsborough County Airport was created. It has a small International Terminal with service to few places, but it gets the job done. On the other hand there are two massive domestic flight terminals. The airport sits in a city of about 30,000 people. Its not the nicest city, but thats what happens when you live next to an airport. Close up of the city: Close-up of the airport, (I'll put in some open grass area so that the gorund matches the airport grass): PART 3 Brooklines Expansion- Brookline has grown quite a bit since the last update, now at a population of 241,000 people. The waterfront commercial developement looks nicer than it did after the placement of the recreation piers. And many businesses have made this ciy their world headquarters. Some Skyscrapers popped up. Our tallest being 48 stories. Downtown Development: Eastland Grand Center, a brand new massice commercial center. Currently the largest office complex in the city. The main tower is 44 stories, 4 stories shy of the tallest, and the 2 on either side of the big tower are 22 stories. There is a lot of businesses there, and room for many more: As the main commercial peninsula filled up, it was decided to move some developement across the river: Demand for more housing went up so a new river front residential developement was constructed: Along with all this, more subway and bus stops were added, and 4 new ferry ports were constructed. Update 2 Brookline has reached 140,000 people. Commute traffic has become a major problem. So the bus system was expanded, along with the highway system. A small subway system was also added. The fight against traffic has been won... almost: A lot of you recommended placing sea-walls in. Well I had so trouble with those so instead I used PEG's water front recreation lots. They seem to look nice where I placed them. i also added a few marinas, a yacht club, and re-located the ferry terminal: The Monument behind the Parliament building has been re-located to a more central location: A Federal Court house was added to capacitate for the ever increasing amount of cases: And the Mall was completed, it made Brookline a shoppers heaven: Another bridge was constructed to ease the commute times: Many of you have suggested suburbs outisde the city: Many of the residents in the suburbs belong to the local Country and club and exclsive Yacht club, on their own private waterfront. Also on the waterfron is a port of call for one of the finest liners on the ocean.: Also on the waterfront is a new Hotel and Casino, and a luxury resort. Try cleaning and re-starting your pc. Also make sure no other programs are running.

Well you can always change the building style to the European style.

Nice start. But I don't really like the looks of all those buses surrounding the international airport.

Someone asked about how they made custom airports, They were all done using Joergs Airport pack or others all downloadable from the STEX, just search under Airport. You'll find some good stuff.
