LOL I heard about "Shelter" while going through some music videos, and stumbled apon the brilliant song "Hang Around" by Gregory Douglass used in a fan video (or possibly a trailer), and had to find out more about the film. It's a really great film in that, as i said, it's not negative and there are no stereotypes. It also helps that they're both nice looking too. Once I'm not skint, I'll have to send for the dvd, coz it definitely belongs in my DVD collection, assuming they ship to Europe.

Has anyone seen the film "Shelter" 2007 about two gay surfers? If no-one's seen it, I REALLY recommend it. It's not cheesy or badly written at all AND it has a good ending! review here: http://movies.nytimes.com/2008/03/28/movies/28shel.html

One of the reasons I think Mars stunted life, was that it's core stopped being active, that meant, amongst other things that it's magnetic field ceased to be and in turn lost much of its atmosphere to space. That would have resulted in catastrophe for plants and/or organisms/animals on the surface. Also, the lack of continental plates of the planet seems somewhat... indicative that the planet was doomed from the start (of harbouring life) to me at least.
