-REPLIES- Shingure- Thanks and here you go... seemurray2- Thanks for the comment. I've really been working on my suburbs, I'm starting to like them a lot more. On another note /= yea, I kinda got screwed b/c you need to flex a little bit to use crutches and I can't use a walker or something because I have a broken leg! lol. The stomach is getting better though, I got the staples out and its getting easier to flex it a little to walk on crutches. -UPDATE- I've had lots of time to play, so I have a couple different areas to show. I didn't like the plopped marina so i used pegs stuff to revamp it a bit. Newman continues to grow... downtown in the form of burbs... and condos. A storage facility just north, across the freeway from Newman A new water treatment facility. The whole area. Downtown Redmond continues to grow as well. Redmond has just pushed over 100k. And finally, some region shots. I wasn't feeling covering the entire region (maybe 50 or 100 large maps?) with trees, I've decided I'll fill them in as I go. -so pretend- lol. Transportation view (I drew in the Rural Highway b/c transportation view doesn't show it) And a Region Census view.
-
Ooo this is what I've been looking forward to, seeing those burbs fill in! Keep it going! The only thing, maybe leave a little more room in between the houses and big box stores? Just a suggestion...
-
Seens like the people of Khamis Mushayt have some rebuilding to do lol. Nice work. I really like that pic of the tanks crossing the bridge. Keep it up!
-
Really nice. Can't wait for the main update! That path running under the bridges is really well done too.
-
-REPLIES- The Hutt- Thanks for the comment! NMUSpidey- Yea, it is. Amerikaner- Thanks for the kind words. Funny thing is, I didn't play for a couple years so I'd never heard of Lloyd (I did go through all of it after you brought it up though), however I had liked some of his new stuff. Charles Rodulfo- Thanks, I'm getting a lot happier with them. sffc- Just search 'warehouse' on the stex, you should find pretty much all of the ones ive used. lucky7- Thanks for the support! Well, just to keep you guys updated, things are getting better, the incision in my stomach is starting to heal up so crutches are getting a lot easier. Hopefully I can start getting more stuff out later this week!
-
That map looks so much better with some trees, water mod and terrain mod lol. I didn't believe it was the maxis map at first lol.
-
Nice job with that park. It looks great filled in. I like that drainage project pic too. Keep it up!
-
Nice update. I really like those zoomed out shots of the park. A couple of things that look a little weird are, usually paths in theme parks are much smaller. They have large foot court areas, stuff like that but not everywhere. Maybe using bike paths around some of the rides would help it out, the brick does look really good in the entrance though. Also, each ride isn't usually completly surrounded by paths. Usually the paths just wind and curve up to the ride entrance. Other than that, it looks great, those coasters would be sweet to ride.
-
Great port you got there. GOod use of diaganols. The marina in the fouth pic is really cramped though. Just seperate the docks out a bit and it will look really good.
-
-REPLIES- jacqulina- Thanks, I really like peg's stuff for plop water! dfnva, mcach- Yep, it took a lot of toying with that to get it how I liked it. cjman- Thanks, watch it start to grow a bit now! edmonton_stinks- Yea, its still only about 90,000 people right now, as I start pushing 150k downtown will really start to expand then skyscrapers at 250k or 300k! MTLT_17- Thanks, I'm working on giving my roads the right look from region view, with curves at different angles than the grid allows. nottheboss- The comment is appreciated! Well, at one of the last ski races of the year I ate it pretty hard and broke my leg (tib fib) and ruptured my spleen, so that was removed. The -good- news (lol) is lots of simcity. However I'm still not strong enough to sit up at my desktop so no updates for a week or so, maybe sooner. I'll keep you guys updated, this cj is just on hold for another week or so, so see you then.

Nice use of construction equipment on the last page. Can't wait till you get back to a PC and start building again!
-
ooo. Lots of passes. Can't wait to see the amusement park developed!
-
Nice downtown, it's a good size. I also like your use of roundabouts. Your skills have really improved through the first few pages of this city. Keep it coming!
-
-REPLIES- edmonton_stinks- Thanks, yep that was the look I was going for. lucky7, ajay_law, DougOZ, Twenty20, Criquette- Thanks for the comments! NMUSpidey- 50% reduced. Highways are LOUD. lol -UPDATE- I started looking at some of my suburbs are decided the inner city ones looked a little weird. I downloaded the urban housing mod and redid them. I like the feeling of these much better than the old ones. A strip mall outside downtown. Industry south of downtown downtown Redmond continues to grow. Finally, a look at the new city spread of Redmond. Hopefully I'll start getting region views posted by tomorrow. I just need to clean up a few rough edges of the city.

You're road layout is amazing! What building are you using to make those white warehouses?
-
Nice use of the light rail. You should post a pic of the area a little more zoomed out to see how everything is layed out. Also, where did you find that control tower used in your airport?
-
nice close ups. Lets see those suburbs filled in around downtown now!
-
Nice mosaic. I also really like the close ups of the port. Maybe some zoomed out to come?

-REPLIES- smarty218, bbfan02, pagenotfound, vituuu, RJN, supermonkey- Thanks for the comments! NMUSpidey- Thanks! I loosely (very) modeled it from how Grand Coulee dam and Electric city are laid out. -UPDATE- The small city (about 15,000) of Newman, located south of Redmond. Downtown, with a couple competing grocery stores and fast food. Twin Peaks golf course. At least two more courses are in the works for a new high wealth development outside of town Several companies take advantage of the currently low priced land just outside of downtown Newman high school and surrounding suburbs Medium wealth apartments to the west of downtown
-
-REPLIES- oceanmariner- Thanks, I wanted to use those buildings to make it look like they housed the turbines. s_olah- Yep, their a pain to grow but the look good when you're done. As for the suburbs, I was trying to get them kind of crowded and 'inner city.' Jacqulina- Thanks as always! -UPDATE- The town of Whitefish. Mainstreet downtown developments around the dam The local Walmart And a final shot of the upper Whitefish river as it wineds into the mountains
-
-REPLIES- RJN, edmonton stinks, vituuu- Thanks, your comments are appreciated. dfnva- Yea, I've been spending a lot of time lately, working on RHW -UPDATE- A large dam has recently been built across the Whitefish river, creating a reservoir. Roads have already been laid for the new workforce which will soon be moving into the area. .
-
Really nice stuff. Those bungalows look perfect.
-
Nice work. I really like the buildings around the marina. The only problem, some of those boaters must have a hard time making it out of their dock (it's kind of packed)
-
Nice stuff, you really give this the 'European feel.'
-
-REPLIES- Mike the Mayor- Thanks, I try to make sure I have enough parking lots. MC01254- Thanks, I played around with the layout of both quite a bit. The Big Z, oceanmariner, Ntq$310- Thats what I'm going for. stratusmonkey, nottheboss, jacqulina, NMUSpidey, edmonton stinks, smarty218- Thanks for the support! RJN- Here's a really good tutorial on how to make nice ports. -UPDATE- A new highwealth waterfront development, east of downtown. Resort condominiums The resort boasts a 26 story tall luxury hotel On a different note, suburbs continue to push to the south. Burbs south of the resort. A final view of the entire developed area That's it for now, I'm going to be gone for another week but I'll have more when I get back.
