MallowTheCloud replied to TheJerseyDevil73's topic in SC4 City Journals
Hello again! Sorry for the double post Time for the year 50 update from Nimbus Bend! Every 50 years is a turn in UCS2, so I have many, many pictures and very much data to show! So, without further ado, the census information for Nimbus Bend at year 50: Okay! Now, here are the region shots of Nimbus Bend at year 50: Next, we have two citywide shots of Nimbus Bend at year 50: And, finally, the zoomed-in shots of the city at year 50: I hope you liked the update. Nimbus Bend is finished with UCS2 turn 2! But, as you can see, there's plenty of room yet for growth. So, stay tuned for the next chapter of... Nimbus Bend, city of the clouds! -

Hows the weather where you live?
MallowTheCloud replied to dominohobbes's topic in General Off-Topic
Beautiful weather here in Portland. I don't think I could ask for a better weekly forecast. A bit of rain thrown in to keep it from getting too dry, but plenty of dry, warm weather as well. http://www.weather.com/activities/other/other/weather/tenday.html?locid=USOR0275&from=36hr_fcst10DayLink_undeclared -

Date: 7/2/2005 9:05:16 PM Author: MTLT_17 Hey Mallow, Love your maps, I see that you have already graced us with a great Saskatchewan city, and I was wondering if you could give us a map of Regina *(my Hometown)* Thanx in advance -Marshallquote> I think I could do that. The only problem is, I'm not at home right now. When I get home, I'll look in to it.

This is a map of Jakarta, Indonesia. It's scaled accurately. It's 36 by 28 km. Have fun! Instructions: (VERY important note below) If you don't have my plugins pack, download it here. 1) Place the import.dat plugin in your plugins folder, and remove any other height mod plugins... thanks to Andy80586 and lookinin for helping me create the mods. 2) Create a new folder called Jakarta in your ..My Documents/SimCity 4/Regions directory. 3) Download the config.bmp file and place it in the new folder 4) Download the Jakarta.jpg file and remember where you downloaded it to. 5) Run your SimCity 4 game 6) Open the Jakarta Region 7) On your keyboard, press and hold down 'ctrl' + 'alt' + 'shift' + 'r'--this should bring up a dialogue box 8) Browse to the folder that you downloaded Jakarta.jpg to, find "Jakarta.jpg", and open this file. 9) This should start the rendering. BE PATIENT. This will likely take between 15 and 40 minutes. 10) Have fun! Copyrights: I don't care about copyrights. You may use this however you want, as long as it is legal. If you want to give someone credit, just say Mallow The Cloud made the map. For any information, questions, comments, concerns, or suggestions about my maps, visit this page -

Date: 7/1/2005 11:54:02 PM Author: lookinin Awesome work on both of those maps Mallow, and thanks for helping out xePh3roK yesterday too! I hope you didn't think I was shirking my responsibilities! quote> Not at all! I saw that he was having a problem, and I thought I may be able to help him. So... I tried! Actually, I feel a bit bad for interrupting there... But, oh well, as long as xePh3roK got help, right? And, thanks for the comments on the maps!

Date: 7/2/2005 12:07:38 AM Author: lookinin Edit: You'll probably need to convert that to BMP to overlay it, I'm not sure - never tried with a jpeg.quote> Well, it does work with a jpeg, but I had Win98 before, and MSPaint doesn't load jpegs in Win98. But, if you are using WindowsXP you can always use a jpeg. By the way, you are doing a great job explaining this, lookinin. I don't think I could have explained it as well as you. And your maps continue to look great! Keep up the nice work!
