po: So... if I understand you correctly, you're trying to just make a flat blank region with a customized city-size configuration? If that's the case, you do not need to import anything. All you need to do is create your config.bmp file and put it in your region folder. As Murakumon said, Landscape Designer is a great tool to create custom config.bmp files. I hope this helps. If it wasn't what you were looking for, maybe try to explain the situation again and I may understand.

In fact, the Columbus mod DOES change the import scale. So, that's likely your problem. Hope it helps.

If every trait was supposed to be advantageous, then not only would evolution happen extremely fast, but everybody's eye color would be the same, for example. Evolution doesn't state that every trait an animal has is advantageous. I can think of plenty that aren't, some of which everybody has, and some of which vary depending on the person: Eye color Hair color Appendix Little toe Connected ear lobes Widow's peak Arthritis Thin skull Balding Male nipples etc, etc, ad infinitum

Still chugging along, I see. Your updates are as great as ever, and as always there are many little touches that make me want to turn in to a sim and visit the cities. Keep up the great work, but don't force yourself to update if you don't have time to.

Religion and politics are controversial because there are multiple valid viewpoints which contradict each other, and nobody has or can do a study to prove which side is better than another. Sexuality is controversial only because of some opinions not based on anything (or possibly based on religion), and therefore is simply 'morally wrong,' a word that can take any number of interpretations. The vast majority (as in all modern) evidence suggests that homosexuality is 'natural'... as in it is not a choice. And therefore it's like skin color, except not visible. I LOVE balsalmic vinegar, to the point that I'd drink it straight if nobody was watching. 3. My obsession with weather is pretty weird. 4. I'm not a big fan of movies. 5. The only television I like is as follows: - The Weather Channel - The Science Channel - The Discovery Channel (sometimes) - Whose Line is it Anyway? - Possibly one or two other shows that I can't recall at the moment 6. I love the Japanese language, but I distaste anime. 7. I don't care much for Adult Swim... and I'm (almost) 20 years old. 8. I'm a geek/nerd who doesn't care for Star Wars or Star Trek, or most other Sci-Fi for that matter. 9. I don't like most video games, with the obvious exception of Simulation games, and the not-so-obvious exception of SOME RPGs. ...I'm sure there are more, but I can't think of them yet... Oh yeah, and I haven't had a Big Mac yet either.

To add to what tungston said... Yes, the Cycledogg Modd is the causing the problems you are having. This is because one of the files in the mod changes the terrain height parameters, which skew the map's elevations. Try rendering without that mod and let us know what happened... good luck!
