ill have to wait and see if the gameplay turns out to be good, i tried city life but didnt like the cultures idea, it complicated gameplay, if this game is more like sc4 with zoning, and no cultures, then i might buy it.

i have a problem, with vista, i downloaded a file, functional landmarks, and i extracted it, when i click on the folder that the files are in, then a get a window that says windows explorer has stopped working, i tried to move it into a folder directly on the desktop, then it just created the same problem just it would happen for no reason on its own, i would like to know what caused this.

yes, i did reboot when i first got the problem, the problem was caused by a folder that contained the functional landmark plugin, i extracted to a folder directly on the desktop and the problem started, before that the problem was only if i clicked on the folder that was in a folder on the desktop, i also do know what explorer is and it said windows explorer, which i assume is the .exe, but what could have caused the problem? -

that might work but i need to know the problem, doubt sp1 will even fix it, when does it come out anyways. -
did you check to make sure your disk isnt scratched, did you close programs like anit-virus, i installed sc4 + rush hour on a laptop with turion 64 x2 tl-56, 2048mb ram 1982mb useable, geforce go 6150, maybe it doesnt like your 8800.

well its not that old, and its wierd how someone posts in a topic and then people just stop posting in the topic for some odd reason.

modifying the exe is a great idea, if its legal then do it, we might be able to put in new features and fix some bugs, its been a few months since someone posted here but do you have any progress with modifiying the exe, and since it could actualy make more people download the game.... it could give ea a bit more money off of simcity 4

umm talking about piracy on the forums is a rule violation, and it doesnt matter if you do it for testing, the fact is, dont pirate at all, find someone who has it and play or go buy it, if you dont like it, return it.

yes, i think 1gb is a little to big, if you have folders of over 1gb then first compress the contents of each, then put the contents in new folders, though it might work better either to, divide the sub folders up, or just have no subfolders, keep a backup though in case something goes wrong or you need to update something.
