Thank you guys for the comments and for respecting my point of view, I feel alot more secure on my decision to render in HD . After some work I finnished completely 6 little props for low-wealth residential use and I have already lotted them. They all sit in 1x1 lots, very simple lots by the way, they hold 12 sims and all other stats were made to fit sc4 original stuff. Here's a pic Please tell me what do you think, if I get positive reviews I will release them soon. Thank you all!

Thank you ! Well I suppose those houses could fit in European settings due to it's similarities with traditional neoclassical architecture Well, I have a huge respect for you guys as I am big fan of both of you, but I could'nt disagree more. It's true that HD generates bigger files, but let's face it, 5 years old computers can handle simcity 4 with ease. Also, in my opinion, HD looks better in both zoom5 and zoom6 The lot on the left contains only HD props, the one on the right uses SD. While the difference is very subtle, for me the SD props are far too smooth, it's as someone tried to blur the image. The HD props, on the other side, seem to have it's details extruded and far more visible. I suppose I don't have to show a comparisson picture at zoom 6 right? Sorry if I sounded arrogant, I'm willing to change at this matter, however, no one has conviced me so far. Thank you guys for the comments EDIT: I decided to post a picture at zoom 6

Thank you very much ! Well, I plan on doing one or two more facades, when I finish them I will work on the middle wealth, for now I will focus on those low-wealth houses and get them released by next week

Well favelas are really hard to be made, especially the most famous one's wich were build on hilly areas, but I have to admit that I considered doing some of what we call here as "cortiços", wich are residential areas where a landowner rents small multi-family houses, historically, the "cortiços" gave birth to modern favelas, but in modern days many "cortiços" still exists, especially in middle sized tonws of the countryside. Here's the definitive re-texture of the low-wealth historical houses I made

Good idea Thank you very much Thanks! Yes, those houses were rendered in HD, in SD most of the details simply go missing Ok, so I just finished another house! As bastet suggested I used dirtier textures on the low wealth building (the one on the right). Tell me what do you guys think
-
Thanks for the comment! I think I will probably make both sets. Glad to see you have become a devoted follower of my thread Thank you very much bastet, this means alot to me, especially from a compatriota ! When I made those houses I thought about your example, I had to make visible differences between low and middle wealth, so I made it like that, with colorfull houses contrasting with more pale houses. I will surelly build a church soon, I was thinking in doing the main church of the city of Quipapá - PE, where I've spent my childhood, but I also intend on working with colonial stuff as well (Baroqui churches are very difficult to be made but are extremely gorgeous)

You know what? I think I will post just twom ore pictures to show my recent BAT's. One picture will contain four low wealth houses and the other the same houses after restoration (midlle wealth). Oddly enough, I found the low-wealth houses far more attractive, maybe I will export just them, what do you think?

Okay buddy, after you first commented about saturation on my thread I immediatelly started looking for information about in portuguese, and thanks to you I finally undestood it . However, I can lower the saturation of the colors but that would take away the essence of tropical architecture. If you come to Brazil that will be one of the first things you will notice, the colors are so strong and saturated that they hurt the eyes when lightened by the sun. Thanks for the comments amigo! Thank you again ! Well, that's because I'm in vaccation (is that right?) untill the beggining of april! That's why I'm making so many BAT's in such a short time. Maybe I will post one or two new pictures tomorrow
-
Well, let's suppose that he meant "it is great like that" because there's nothing I can do about it, that's one of the main characteristics of latin architecture. So here's another picture
-
And I thank you very much libellibicus, I will soon post another picture
-
Thanks again for the comments . Skyscraper241, I don't know what you were trying to say, was that a compliment? So here is another try at Brazil's neoclassical archictecture

Thank you all for the comments ! I am still far from finishing my commercial set, but I thought I would post here to show everyone that I am working and that soon I will release my props, and to show another neoclassical house I made earlier. Also I don't know if I answered simcoug's comment about diagonals, so my answer is that maybe I will do some, but only in my next project. The historical center of João Pessoa also came to me and I am pretty sure I will do one or two of it's beatifull Sobrados.

Thank you all for the comments, I am really glad you all liked it! So I am guessing I can officially start my development on my small commercial set! Once I finish both sets I will release them here and at simcitybrasil.com, but this may take a while. I also have some few projects in my mind, like doing middle class modern buildings as well and a tiny set of historical houses, wich would contain houses in art-deco, neoclassical and neocolonial houses, and as matter of fact, I already did some The left would represent low wealth, run-down historical houses, and the one in the right would represent middle-class, recently restored houses. Please tell me what you think

Ok guys, I got a little excited and decided to make some new houses, so now I have 20 pros, 4 were designed for use on corner lots. Once again I aprecciate everyone's comments and I ask once again to feel free to make new comments and critics. So here are the pictures, I will soon start my work on commercial buildings as I am still in my vacations.

I really aprecciate all the comments, especially Bastet's for his posted pictures of my idol Luiz Gonzaga, who is undoubtedly the biggest name in the whole history of brazilian music and a major icon of the Northeast region, and the beatifull city of Olinda. Well Bastet, I made the textures look clean because I wanted them to look like they were recently painted, I didn't want to make those houses feel so run-down nor old as those colonial houses in Olinda. I will make two corner houses for this little set, I hope to post a picture of them by tomorrow. I wanted my houses to look clean as the green one on the left or as the red one in the right. Thanks for the comments everyone, I will soon post more pics Sorry for double posting but I just saw jason leo's comment. I can guarantee you there are night lights, when I finish the two pending corner houses I will show the lights for you. Thanks for the comment

Thanks for the comments, especially gn_leugim for his short explanation . Well, I was in vacation this week so I had plenty of time to work on my house models. I have 12 new houses with reworked scailing and new details to make them a little more realistic, unfortunately, the house that I was working on felt a little out of place when I tested it with my new props so I had to discard it, for a while at least. Sorry gn_leugim, but I really don't have slightest idea on how to add such effects on my houses as I have little knowledge on how to use 3dsmax properly and it is really difficult for me to understand all the technical language they use in their tutorials, but as you guys suggested I scaled down the roof tiles and tried not saturate the wall's textures too much (I addmit they are a little saturated but that's a characteristic of the local architecture). Please tell me your oppinion as I intend to make a set of little commercial buildings to go along with these and I'm plannig on using the same methods as I used so far. Thanks

Ok, thanks very much for everyone's comments! So you are all suggesting me to scale down the roof tiles, but I don't know what is to "blur" an texture as gn_leguim mentioned so I would be very gratefull if someone explained that to me. Also, I don't know if mentioned, but I make my models at sketchup and render them with BAT4max for 3dsmax 2012. Here are some minimal changes I have made. Sorry about the picture again, when I tried to use imageshack I received this message "You are not allowed to use that image extension on this community." Thanks for the help!
