  2. Omaha, NE & Council Bluffs, IA Metro

REPLIES At Cjah: eh eh! Thanks! Where do you come from? At Fabiocb: Thanks a lot! I downloaded the power lines at the last time and the result is great, not these ugly empty land under the lines, they add more realism but they look ugly on the region view. At cityhawk: Thanks! Not so easy to build like the in-game freeway but looks good. One-way four or five lanes would be great! At dfnva: Thanks; I dowloaded it here, its name is Auchan, a french retail superstore brand (they have large strip mall like in the US)... I did some modification on the front parking with the Lot Editor and I've plopped custom parking around it. Cheers! Mr. Beer
  3. Omaha, NE & Council Bluffs, IA Metro

SOUTH COUNCIL BLUFFS Here are the first pictures from the Council Bluffs area. I didn't find any realistic casino for this place, so I used an hospital that looks like... The I-80/I-29 Interchange Unilever petrochimic plant Cloverleaf interchange south of the Mall of the Bluffs.. Holcim cement plant Sorry for the low presentation, but I have a problem with the text editor, I don't know why... Cheers, Mr. Beer
  4. Omaha, NE & Council Bluffs, IA Metro

REPLIES To Cjah: yep, I was on Metasmurf's region CJ and I saw the pictures, but here no, probably a problem with my Internet connection... To ThomasAH: Thanks man! They will come! To patfirefghtr: Thanks too! Some pictures are ready to be uploaded but first I want to correct some stuffs on my Region... Cheers, Mr. Beer

  6. Omaha, NE & Council Bluffs, IA Metro

PROBLEM: As I can read, the last pictures I've posted here are viewable... But me I can't!!! It is normal as a topic starter, I can just post using the "Quick Reply" tool??? Because the standart one doesn't work... Yesterday and all the past weekend I've got the same problem.
  7. Omaha, NE & Council Bluffs, IA Metro

I don't see the pictures... I've realy a problem with the reply option... nothing appears and just the quick reply tool works...
  8. Omaha, NE & Council Bluffs, IA Metro

REPLIES Thanks a lot everyone! Sorry if I answer so late, I didn't find how to post the replies; something bugs on my computer (text tools doesn't appear) :-p For shadow_assassin, the black thing is supposed to be coal... For the map, I did a "patchwork" of yahoo maps and then I used paintbrush for the transition in greyscale and photoshop finaly... the loes chain in Iowa is from a map of Omaha found on www.rebel13.com that I copied, but is not exaclty on scale... I did a lot of pictures that would be posted here soon! My appologize if I don't reply to you all personnaly... Cheers, Mr. Beer
  9. Baton Rouge, Louisiana, a cajun taste!

REPLIES To cityhawk: Yep, I must to share my time beetween my studies and my freetime, so, I've finished my works in advance so this weekend for me is totally dedicated to SimCity (I hope) To thatmonkeysim: Probably, but yet I'm curently working on Omaha Metro... we will see later, thanks for your proposition! To sloppet: I've not any new updates about Baton Rouge, but it's not easy to close this CJ...I don't know what to show... Thanks sloppet! Mr. Beer
  10. Baton Rouge, Louisiana, a cajun taste!

REPLIES A maximussimo: Peut-être Omaha en exclusivité sur toutsimcity! Peut-être, mais il y à pas mal de membres de simtropolis qui attendent aussi et deux journeaux en simultané, je ne sais pas, faut que je voies. Merci! To tankman: Thanks a lot! To thatmonkeysim: Charlotte, NC? Huh...very challenging, yes! We'll see... thanks! A peter2b: Merci l'ami! Il y a pire, va voir Edmonton, par TheJerseyDevil, impressionnant de réalisme!
  11. Baton Rouge, Louisiana, a cajun taste!

REPLIES The two uncoming weeks would be full of work for me! But after: Springbreak!!! = freetime for a new CJ! To PhilsCafe: simply for laughing I said genava people are french-like...I'm in the Engineering School (FHS) and I do everyday the travel from my hometown (Ecublens, a western suburb of Lausanne) to Geneva. Did you do the same travel from Luzern to Zurich every day or do you rent/share an appartement in Zurich during the week? To Mikeaut1: Thanks! I'm enjoyed to know that I'm in your favorite! Thanks again!
  12. Baton Rouge, Louisiana, a cajun taste!

    REPLIES Thanks jacqulina!
  13. Baton Rouge, Louisiana, a cajun taste!

REPLIES I'm very excited to begin this new CJ, I must first do a banner for that but first, I would like to have some cities that run correctly and which I can post interesting pictures! To Fabiocb: I must to take a look on this game! It would be nice to have curved road, the buildings fit diagonaly and to have a photo-realistic game! Thanks for your comments. To PhilsCafe: Hi, lol! I didn't too! You can found the integral work of 6459978 on the RCI ploppable, on page 35-36, really usefull! Oh, I like the "fribourgeois" too! I'm studying in Geneva, the worst of all of the welsch states... In Lausanne we have the Boxer beer, a good beer too and some artisanal brewery. Thanks! To cityhawk: Right! when you finish a work, an another comes and its never finish until the schoolbreaks. I do all my possible to save time for SimCity... Thanks for your comments! Cheers! Mr. Beer
  14. Baton Rouge, Louisiana, a cajun taste!

NEWS ABOUT OMAHA, NE URBAN SPRAWL TEST Wonderful! I've created some cool ploppable homes for a sprawl-like effect that arec completely functionnable, using originals lot from 6459978! Heach homes comes with 8R$$ but the problems is that the commute time is too long and the population decreases rapidly... But here are some pictures! I hope you like it. Due to the new academic semester and the uncoming work, the future CJ of Omaha will come maybe later, in a few weeks. Sorry for the unconvenience. Mr. Beer
  15. Baton Rouge, Louisiana, a cajun taste!

REPLIES At jacqulina: Thanks a lot! At Fabiocb: I hope that SC5 would be more realistic and offers more option (climate, upgradable highways, etc...) Gosh, I saw Soulfly yesterday in Fribourg, amazing brazilian band!!! Cheers, Mr. Beer
  16. Baton Rouge, Louisiana, a cajun taste!

REPLIES To bat: Thanks! to PhilsCafe: Amazing for a welsch, uh? Thanks, I use ploppable spot that I place along the avenues and the freeways. But its extremely long to make...the original light don't appear very good when I zoom out, so I use these custom ploppable. Take care. To Nardo69: Thanks my friend! Two month before the FIFA world's cup! Did you plane to go in Germany throught summer? Thanks to all! Cheers, Mr. Beer
  17. Baton Rouge, Louisiana, a cajun taste!

NEWS ABOUT OMAHA, NE Yes, the test are good, but before to start the CJ, I'll make two or three cities before! I did some ploppable farm houses, new parking lots...So, I'm afraid to say that, but it was the last pictures of my region! I can do some new ones if you want! REPLIES To Sisu: Thanks! To FabioCB: Thanks! I'm asking if they are not a possibility to have a night overview of the entire region...It would be fun! To jeeper767: What an honour for me! Thanks! All of my industrials are ploppable lots with jobs, so they looks like large warehouse and for particular industry (petrochemical, steel, ...) I use a family of lot, some of them with jobs and others ploppable like parks (so they needn't to have a road connection). To Shadow_Assassin: Thanks my australian friend! Not easy, yes... but after two or three cities, you take the habits...but sometimes, I must to re-make the city, to redraw the networks...Thanks again! To cityhawk: Congratulations for you 100th post! ! Thanks for your post!
  18. Baton Rouge, Louisiana, a cajun taste!

UPDATE Here is a little update with night pictures I forgot to upload... To Simm.E.Terry: thanks for your comment, but I didn't understood the story with the tanks...(my english level is not terrible)... To SimRico: Thanks To jacqulina: Oh! I'm happy to see you back here! Thanks for your post! To Shadow_Assassin: Yes, I did some tour with Google Earth in Australia! Very nice freeway system as i have seen! Northern Amercia, Australia and South Africa have this type of large median. In some italian, french and british freeway, you find this type of freeway too but they are unusual. Victoria Bitter and Foster's are two excellent beer! Cheers! Mr. Beer
  19. Baton Rouge, Louisiana, a cajun taste!

REPLIES To PhilsCafe: Thanks Phil! It doesn't matter if you don't come more often. Its carnival time! On Vaud (Waadt) we don't have carnival...but so. I hope you have enjoyed! To cityhawk: Thanks! Shadow_Assassin do a great work to with one-way roads on his Savannah Way CJ...Thanks to your comment. To Mikeaut1: Thanks. I did a lot of LOT...I must to delete some of them I don't use. Cheers To profecy: Thanks! I'm sur you will do the same work on Toronto! Especialy on highways and on the suburbs. It would be promising! To Nardoo69: Oh, I need to upgrade my skill on railyards, but thanks to comment. I use parks that I modify on the LotEditor and recently I've modified PEG's transit enabled backways to make a lot of carparks. I'm surprised that we have only one real mall (one by Simgoober) It would be great to enhance this category of building! Thanks a lot! Mr. Beer
  20. Toronto

But the region is done, maybe some new pictures. To Fabiocb: As usual, thanks To ThomasAH: Thanks, now I'm trying to use avenues as four-lane freeway, one for the realism and the eye-candy and second, with the NAM it's difficult that the one-way roads works correctely...we'll see, I'm testing this method. Thanks for your comment. Mr. Beer
  22. Baton Rouge, Louisiana, a cajun taste!

REPLIES To sloppet: thanks man! To Shadow_Assassin: Thanks a lot to replying, where do you live also? UPDATE SCOTLANDVILLE, LA PART II They are! The last (sic) pictures... I can do special pictures with photoshop... I tried to make a satellite night pic, but it's not easy to do... 25. NAM: Requests

Hi! I'm working on a recreation of Omaha, NE and Council Bluffs, IA and I experimented to use the avenues for a massive freeway looks with connections with one-way roads for ramps. Can we do a four lanes one-way road that has two tiles width and which we can do connections with the standart one-way roads? Here is a picture Thanks!
