Deciduous vs Evergreen - When To Use Which
ROFLyoshi replied to ROFLyoshi's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
Thanks for the example. Although I would prefer to mmp instead of God brush, you still give me a great reference to decide which style of tree to use. -
Nice highway, I particularly love the sweeping bend as it approaches the bay.

4675: I did a quiz online, and memorised all but Pierce, Hayes and Coolidge. Namely all the " forgettable" presidents. Not bad for someone who isn't American! As for Australian PMs, it would go Barton, Deakin, Watson, Reid, Fisher, Cook, Hughes, Bruce, Scullin, Lyons, Page, Menzies, Fadden, Curtin, Ford, Chifley, Holt, McEwen, Gordon, McMahon, Whitman, Fraser, Hawke, Keating, Howard, Rudd, Gillard and Abbott. For simplicity's sake I haven't included second and third terms, as we have had several prime ministers serve non consecutive terms.

Deciduous vs Evergreen - When To Use Which
ROFLyoshi replied to ROFLyoshi's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
I'm intending on a temperate, mild climate (think warm summers and mild-cool winter, rarely dropping below 0C). So what I gather is best is to use deciduous trees on Plains and river valleys, and then evergreen trees on hills and mountains? -
Dat sprawl! How do you do that thing with flipping the image? --- Skew the image by 33 degrees, rotate by 12.5 and then resize as you see fit. :3
-
Yeah, but Gerrymandering will prevent that.

Wonderful region! Great work with the trees, how'd you do those? Meanwhile here's Redwolf at 850,000 sims...

I'm going to a lovely looking French restaurant in the city with my girlfriend for dinner. Should be fun! Fanciest restaurant you've been to?

None. We do have maritime borders with Indonesia, East Timor and Papua New Guinea, however. I have no intention of visiting any of them any time soon as I have other places I want to travel to. What would you say is your countries closest "ally"? Ours is New Zealand.

45674657: (hey nice number) It's the middle eastern conflict, not going be solved soon Although I don't want this to turn into a political debate as we have the threads for those, wouldn't Europe have a bigger market if Israel wasn't to participate and the surrounding countries were to?
-
Sort of, although I haven't been on holiday for a long time. Do you use a street directory or is GPS the way to go?

This is why I wear the same jeans for weeks I've never seen an image that describes my life.

4651: No one in Australia really cares about Kylie Minogue anymore though. We have much better acts.

I don't know how I feel about a driverless vehicle. As much as I detest other drivers and the absurdly stupid things they can do, I would much rather leave man in charge than a machine. If you don't want to drive take a taxi, or a bus. What would be interesting is a semi-driverless system to work on main highways where cars could be loaded onto a platform or something and then taken along the highway. This would mean faster speeds, higher capacity (as cars could be bunched closer safely).

4647: They'd probably send someone like Kylie Minogue or Jessica Mauboy to compete, but I'd much rather someone like Courtney Barnett compete. (If you don't know her, look her up as she is absolutely BRILLIANT).

I've been dating her for 18 months now :3 Do you like Flight of the Conchords?
-
4643: Death Magnetic (Y) Also just found out that Australia might be going to the next Eurovision. Is that odd?
-
Love. Never been there though. Sitcoms.

In the end, it doesn't even matter!

Holiday Time! A trip to the quiet countryside
ROFLyoshi commented on timmie's City Journal Entry in (SC4) Vloesem - by timmie
I love your style of building, the autumn foliage is grand as is the train yard! One (small) criticism though: in the picture titled Everything has an end, and so does this highway... you've got an odd kink where the RHW-4 meets the roundabout. I'd probably recommend that it'd look better if you converted the RHW-4 to a RHW-2, and then end the RHW at the roundabout.
