  1. What do you want in Cities Xl?

The number one thing that i want is to have some more variation on the roads. Right now they look so... uniform (even with seats/bins/trees placed randomly). Perhaps some random placement of patches of roads that have been repaired or something would help?
  2. low plane flyover freaks out New York

As much as i don't have a fear of planes or anything like that, i can certainly see how prior notification is defiantly a must for such a sensitive region.
  3. Germany moves to outlaw paintball

as someone else on another forum said "Fail. They still think they need to prove that they aren't breeding a new generation of Nazis."
  4. 50th Anniversary of the Mini

Just pretend the new mini's never existed and i could agree...
  5. US 'hate list' DJ to sue Britain

Has anyone considered the fact that if he was let in, he'd need some kind of protection from any attacks on himself, due to his views, and the UK doesn't want to foot the bill for that? To be frank, he's had his chance. If he's going to make inflamintory remarks, then i honestly belive he doesn't have a right to say them at all.

Hardly call it a dictatorship if that's the case.

  9. British Operation in Iraq ends

Spent 5 times more on the war than on reconstruction. I think they could have done better in that regard. That's easier said than done, however, and everything else was pretty good.

  12. Piracy off East Africa

A local from here was on that cruise ship, according to what she said, one of the passengers was throwing plastic tables off the side at the pirates, and another throwing chairs. That must be why they ran away!
  13. Woman sues for loss of online gold.

I really don't get what this has to do with WoW at all, or the insurance company refusing to cover the (real) gold bars on the basis that they were bought with illegally made money?
  14. Experts probe deadly Mexico flu

81 or whatever it is now deaths in a few days, compared to 500000 in a year. For simplicity's sake, lets just say that its 80 in a week. Now, 500000 in a year is a lot. its about 10000 a week, however, that's world wide. Mexico has about 1&2/3% of the worlds population, and if they got an equal amout of flu's as other places, it boils down to about 160 flu deaths a week in mexico as per usual. Not so much of a difference now is there?

  17. Experts probe deadly Mexico flu

OHMIGOD! Flu, in Australia! it could be a deadly outbreak! Or more likely its just a regular old flu. sheesh. Seriously though, is there at least some kind of evidence to suggest that it might have spread that far. holiday makers, what?

Factor in the saving of not having to own and pay for the maintenance of car full stop as well.
  19. Piracy off East Africa

And yet none of the situations have been about cargo whatsoever. It doesn't matter if its aid or oil, the ransom of the ship and crew is much more valuable. (and easier to obtain. Its hard to unload 100's of crates or millions of liters of oil without a crane or a pump)

I mean if each Gem is in fact another game and we do not need to be online to use it that means to me that we should be getting one hell of a game with about 5 - 10 Gems that Are considered to be a full game in a game? The concept seems utterly awesome to me especially if they do transport gems I mean all of them in one package or individual they could all be great however I don't think airlines would be that great unless it was online. A Bus and Rail gem could be used from the begining of any city. Anyways if there is anyone that can clarify these better I would be appreciative of it. Because it just doesnt seem possible to me to have a Game (Single Palyer) with all of these gems as part of it.quote> Think of it as extra games that use the same game engine as Cities XL, therefore making the downloads/installation/whatever requirements much much smaller than a full new game, while adding in a lot of new functionality, because they reuse a lot of the same content.

Last time i checked the majority of people downloading stuff 'illegally' weren't doing it just because they'd already bought a copy of it. I mean, seriously. 40 years ago you spent some of your hard earned money to go watch a movie or play in an arcade. If you didn't have the money, you just made your own fun. These days you just download it. There's a risk that people are becoming used to getting free stuff, and honestly, it can't go on like that forever.

You'll be spending less money and it'll be directly infused into the economy.quote> Because at the end of if you have nothing, whereas if you build HSR, or something, you'd at least have something for all the money spent

But first you need to survey the area, then design the track, then clear the area, then make the foundations, then build the bridges, and the drains, then make all the track, then get it all there. Then the 8 guys lay it....

Seriously, the sort of "self entilement" that people have these days with regards to digital media is disgusting.
