There is a problem. Isreal opted for the surgical strike years ago when iran built its first nuclear reactor/enrichment facility or whatever it was. They managed to do it with just a squadron of aircraft. Iran was pissed, but the incident didn't escelate. Now, i'm pretty sure that Iran would have learnt from that. I have no doubt that the current iranian nuclear program, be it civilian or military, would be both well spread and very, very heavily fortified and guarded. I'd guess that the only way isreal would be able to destroy irans current nuclear program would be a full out assult on each facility with an extremely large sized force (not just company of troops, i'm talking battalions larger), or in other words a full scale war with iran. Which is hard since they don't share any land borders.

I disagree with equatorial regions becoming uninhabitatal. Would like some reason why your saying that one.

Hardly. Plastic waste or toxic contamination of the ground is hardly going to effect global warming. Yet its very (and in my opinion, undratedly against modern climate change discussion) important. I don't think the problem is old wires, but rather dodgy contractors. The "start up a business, hire a few blokes, try make a killing with all the orders" type people. And no, i don't blame garret either.

Boring? perhaps. Full of idocy? very much so. For example, currently. The government had given out rebats for installing insulation in your house over the last year and a bit. Anyway, some dodgy contractors using metal foil insulation were not doing it correctly, causing electical problems, killing 3 workers in the last year or so. Yesterday, the minister for... wait, what is he minister for anyway?, anyway, he said that the government would pay for inspections of every house with the insulation installed (and if faults were found, the contractors that installed it would have to pay for repairs). Now, the opposition are calling for him to resign or something stupid. That is the kind of crud that goes on in our politics.

When was the last time you saw council here mow the footpath though? All they do is maintail the actual paths, if any, and they don't do a wonderful job at it.

I think i have 4 large boxes, including one of the old style of lego trains. Parents bought most of it off some other kid who'd turned 18 and wanted a guitar, this was back in the mid/late 90's, so basically most of my legos are from the late 80's, makes those spaceships zel posted look new! I might go dig through old photo's if i can find them. best i can do for now is a completely freestyle truck i made (and lego backhoe that i never bought the kit for, made it using parts i had and looking at its picture in the catalouge)

haha, why does everyone revert to the "oh but you'd need to have tracks to every single store!" debate. of course there's going to have to be freight yards and distribution networks, trucks will never be able to be eliminated. But that doesn't mean it can't be more effecient to rail it 2000km's and truck it the last 100. Besides, apart from big chain stores, most wouldn't get a truck coming to them direct from halfway across the country, most of the time goods would be shipped into local distribution centers and loaded into smaller trucks.

I'd be interested to see a comparison of the economics of truck hauling vs rail hauling. While you might need to do more loading/offloading with rail, you need less people to do the actual driving (2 people for 100 trucks worth of goods), so i'd be interested to see how that stacks up in comparison to driving it along a road.

If you have a look at how they're mounting the cleaning patforms, it becomes a litle more hitech. They've got robotic arms mounted on horizontal rails that move across the curved surface, and can be stowed in a compartment when not in use.

Remind me again what shopping bags has to do with global warming? Stopping rubbish pollution is a very imporant thing (In my opinion, it is more important than global warming), however it doesn't contribute to global warming in any way.

You could probably go back and find that the Israeli incursion into palestine that set off the rockets was in response to something, which again was in response to somethign else, etc. but you'd miss the fact of the matter: neither side tried to defuse the situation. If the palestinian government was so serious about peace, they did they not just hold themselves back from retaliating to incursions, and likewise, Isreal should not have attacked at all either. However, i see no way to claim that one side has moral superiority over the other, at all.

And once we all start doing that but only limit emissions by 1-2% in the process, then what? Just living creates a bucket load more CO2 than using a recyclable bag does. One of the best ways to stop climate change would be to limit (or even cut back) human population. and besides, it'd mean cities would be less crowded!

Question to all americans here: Would you rather the "ights of the 20 million people who don't want any health insurance to be compramised, but the lives of the 20 million that desperatly need some kind of healthcare made much easier, or The rights of the 20 million who don't want insurance to be kept intact, but for the other 20 million to suffer?

Going from the flexability to a city sim would be a rather huge leap. This thing has Zero gameplay. To make it into a city sim, you need to implement an economy, proper traffic volume calculations, algorythims to pick what to grow where due to socio economic factors, etc. Not to mention more content (going by the trailer, there's no rail, no mass transit at all) Its a huge load of stuff to do. Still, i wonder if there's some company out there who wan't to buy the engine licence and do just that...
