An example of this in my experience is a city that was my largest at one point (back when i was a newbie, ah the good old days...) it kept needing a new power lant every couple of months. These were coal and causing a real problem. I eventually traced it down to low conditions and onc i had replaced them i only needed about 2 new ones. I went from 12/13 to 5/6! Same goes for water too :-D

yes in the heli missions you dont have to land, just hover over. Even at the end of it you just hover over the building and it will automatically end. If your not doing a mission and trying to land then sadly you cannot. thyey can only land on certain places.

I have found that if your using some kind of pollouting power plant then it can make the bar plummet, even if it is miles away from "civilisation". Try just generally going greener, cleaner power plants, recycling plants (they are not as effective at garbage disposal as told but thye will help the bar and general "aura") avoid landfills (plenty of non-polluting lots on the STEX) and have quite a few trees, parks and green space within the city. This should keep the bar and your sims happy :-D

yes, to clarify you need to create a 3x3 square with the OWR tool. Once it is compleated it should be a roundabout! For something extra you can plop one piece in the center (there should be a square in the center) then it turns into a fountain!

Welcome Back! The "Rural" thing your looking for is the RHW (Rural Highway) Project. Soon to be called Real Highway Project because it looks so good in cities! If you type in RHW into the STEX then you will find various addons including signage and textures. HSRP or BTM, High Speed Rail Project is a draggable puzzle piece system (plop a puzzle piece then drag monorail from it) designed to change the look of Monorails to a High Speed Railway. The Bullet Train Mod is something similar but OVERIDES the Monorail. So if you like monorails, dont download it. You CAN have both but you MUST HAVE a patch to make them compatible with each other. With a simple search of the names of the mods you can find trains and stations. SAM (street addon mod) is anither draggable puzzle piece system designed to change the look of streets. If your sick of the american road style you can change it to a europian style using the Euro Road Textures Mod A simple search for "Terrain Mod's" will give you many to choose from. If you would like to create custom airports like the ones in the "Show us your airports" thread then download the RMIP (runway Markings Improvement pack) (3rd version to be released soon) (no link as there are many different ones, search "RMIP") Thats all i can think of for now so i would suggest to just look through and grab anything you want! Yes for a fully developed reigon there could be many GB worth of plugins. Its a dream i know but at the moment it is a goner :-(

If you still fail then you could always use a deeper hole digging lot.

There is something you can do in the meantime. The elivated roads/OWroads/avenues in the NAM can be plopped on water but you will need to flatten the ground underneath. This can be done by holding Ctrl+Alt+Shift as you click on the god mode button to get the tools back.

It takes between a few months and a few years to start developing a zone. Usually in this time there are no road zots over the zones. This is just a limitation of the game. It may be due to the size. I would try developing it in smaller chunks. Also try zoning some comercial. I noticed that the industrial demand is right down. I know that if thee isn't enough jobs then the sims just wont come; no matter how high the demand.

Do you mean to see what your getting altogether? You can see that i the green box at the top of transportation. Do you mean what your charging? The fact is you cant see or change the fares in game (downer) But what you can do is divide the amount of fares gained by the amount f sims riding it and walah! the answer (ya gotta love maths) although if you have any other kind of mass transit then that wont work :-( Hope this helped :-D

Welcome to Simtropolis! Good Find! I certenly didn't realise this and i have been plaing for years! I do remember that back in the good old days of SC3000 that you had to have a water pump by a fresh water source!. Hehe i used to have massive farms of the things to water my cities!!

Also, if you get a Brown box then that means whatever you just downloaded required a dependency or more. Normally in the readme there will be a list of said dependencies.

Could you simply add an extention to the track? Something that overhangs, would that work? Its hard to explain, like when you get a badly designed bat and the edge of the building is in the middle of the road?

For the brown box... Brown boxes in SC4 mean that there is a missing dependency. For CAM packs you have ALOT of dependencies. It took me about half a day to download and install them . It is very rewarding to have it but it depends if you want to put the effort in. If you look in the readme file then it should have a list of them. If you did that and missed a few i found a simple solution, if you write down the name of teh building(s) that are appearing like that then go into the plugins folder and simply delete then from the CAM folder. I know it is a bit awkward but there are so many more CAM and CAMpatible buildings on the LEX you won't know the differance.

They have a range of styles, amounts and sizes.That would save what you are trying to do. Speaking of what you were trying to do, were you trying to change the .exe file? I need to warn you that this is highly illigal and if you display that behaviour on this site you will be punished. (usually a ban). I know your new but i just needed to tell you. No harm done.

Can i ask where you got that coastal development kit (rocks, seaweed e.t.c) from?? @emgmod I like the usage of paths and also the (very realistic) use of Tram in road!! BRAVO TO BOTH OF YOU!!! @emgmod (again) i just noticed that RHW at the top, with the elevated rail. IT looks like something you would find in L.A.
