Asheroo, I have read in the official forum that Bus and metro skins are different according to type of roads you select in the beginning - for example if you choose French - a metro will be the Paris metro, if you choose american - NYC metro. Is this true?
-
Great! I can't wait for more
-
Thanks for the answers, GlobexCo. By saying that you cannot modify the metro line does that means that you cannot make any further branches or increase its length?

In the official forum of the game they said that subway stations are only underground. This will be very sad if stays like this in the final game. Are there any words of onground and elevated station? GlobexCo, please give us more details for the subway system, I think it's the most interesting thing of all - how many types of different trains, how the lines are built, is there a subway depots, things like this. Also how did you find the ambient sounds - did the trains make any sound? I asked that in the other forum - is there a possibility to place trees? Thanks!

There is only a release date -14.10.2010 and 6 new screenshots which doesn't show nothing new No word for demo/beta

The installer works, you have to select you PAKS folder when installing though.

Someone got into my house and stole my computer, how can I make FHI believe me?
ACEH replied to gamur's topic in Cities XXL
Wait, wait, wait. If you have an account with which you are playing the game, this means that you have the original game, because you can create an account only with original cd key. So don't worry about that! The thing that you have to worry are the TVs and laptops. -
One of the best cities created in Cities XL! Great job, I can't wait to see the city finished!
-
Absolutely great! Very good effects - can you tell us what software are you using? It will be great to prepare a bus network maps if you have any lines.

Originally posted by: dasilva @ACEH yes, there will be ground level subway trains. They basically work like the roads network: you use SHIFT and mouse to set the height and it'll build tunnels and bridges accordingly to the terrain quote> Thanks Philippe! This sounds great!

Yes FHI is only the publisher of the new game. The developers are Monte Cristo and they did all the stuff. One thing that I am wondering is will there be some on ground rail because the features says "bus, underground and elevated railway." I will be bad if there is only elevated and underground rail (metro).

I can't wait till October too for me the most interesting thing will be of course the new mass transit and the new tax management system.
-
If you can wait until October then wait. If not - buy the game now
-
The game price was $19.99 until yesterday so it has worth buying. Maybe you know that in October a new game is coming - Cities XL 2011. But the game is good and with the mods released it's even better - so it worths buying
-
We do not know this yet. My suppose is that Cities XL 2011 will be sold as a new game with a discount for original Cities XL owners.
-
I cannot describe how happy I am reading these news
-
Yes, the link is timed out now. We can ask wyllman to upload it somewhere else.

I have bought the standard edition of CItiesXL and with a mod posted on the first page of this topic I unlocked even Limited Edition content (maps and so on) You can try this mod, it unlocks almost everything Edit: The link is posted by wyllman on the first page.

GlobexCo, if releasing this mod is legal, it will be great. But how can we know this?
-
There were never a release date neither before or after MC's bankrupt!
-
Very original, good job!
-
Thank for the translation, so these are good news really. Hope that the new company will show up soon with the new game. Regarding the little time they had, well, I think that the game includes many many locked features that has been already developed. As far as we already seen in the screenshots there are trains, new stadiums, new buildings at all.

Very bad news about Monte Cristo. Thank you all guys for what you've did! But now comes the good part: Originally posted by: philemon1976 On the german board, Michael_MC mentioned that they worked till the last day on CXL 2011 and it's done now. So there is hope for a revival including all those features we missed... Die Zukunft des Spiels liegt in guten Händen." quote> Do this mean that the new version is ready and will be just resell by another company? If this is true, I am ready to spend my money for the new product, if it includes all of the missing features. Please somebody that speaks German to clarify exactly what this statement means, because Google translator says the following: "Now the question: what will become of Cities XL? We have the new version of Cities XL ("Cities XL 2011" further to the end. A company will take over the license and resell the game. This collector should soon present itself. The future of the game is in good hands. "
