  1. Uncontacted Amazonian Tribe Photographed

just leave them alone they clearly don't want us in their lives. Ever. do we HAVE to see them do they HAVE to see us? and do we have to export our "culture" of McDonalds and living on the cheap to every corner of the globe. they were happy until they saw us so don't ridicule them for being happy. they have so far managed not to contact them for about 600 years so why is it now? if we just leave them alone how bloody hard is that? its not the M25 were talking here we don't have to "integrate" them into Brazilian society (by the way "integrate" basically means accept our culture or lump it)
  2. The Eurovision Song Contest

do you think britain plays to win??
  3. Is there anyone out there?!

there is life out there but probably just dull, boring, germs
  4. Court rules paper money discriminatory against blind...

i'm in an area where cash is king. The shops don't take credit, since its so expensive to process. The Post office is doing OK for cashing cheques and the under-the-matress pension fund is the most popular form of saving. especially since the whole northern rock incident america is no longer a "rich" country per se. They are running out of money for basic services (most being allocated to transport) with bridges collapsing and foremen not being able to put out (x) fire because of cutbacks. So of course its not going to easily afford changing the banknotes to be blind, deaf, enviromentally friendly as for debit cards especially very sneaky ones they tell you that you have NO OVERDRAFT FACILITY you buy a mug and you're being charged £7 for the Mug with £2 interest and £10 for being overdrawn. credit cards are even worse. as for internet banking you do realise that it is the absolute worst way for your identity to be stolen most cases of identity theft involve internet banking/transactions with keyloggers for example (same for ID cards although it means when its stolen your going to need a fingertip transplant and a new pair of eyeballs) i don't like the plastic notes they seem so flimsy
  5. Not enough black soldiers?

i love how we so many other , more important and urgent issues than the number of women/men/white/black/asian/disabled/blind/deaf/mentally ill/poor/rich/ in X occupation

  7. four basic questions about freight train

ok answer to your questions 1, Freight train traffic is to alleviate Freight road (truck/lorry) traffic from the roads. 2, freight will only ever work when it is connected to another city outside the city tile 3, Freight only originates in industrial zones so connecting it to residential and commercial zones is not needed. commuter rail however, needs connections to other land uses to be of any use
  8. Italy Arrests 400 In Illegal Immigrants Swoop

You say America is built on immigration but this is ITALY we are talking about that was NOT built on immigration it was built on the remnants of the roman empire and several other activities we would not need people moving in to a rich country to do "Low end" jobs if we weren't so bloody snobby about it. there wouldn't be any "oh your just a gardener/cleaner/farmer/teacher etc." people keep going on about needing these people in the country. why do we have to import people illegally or legally to do work when we have so many unemployed people? . Rich countries are not there to house people from poorer countries and poor countries are not there to work for the rich countries. a different relationshipp is needed. in most circumstances the recipient country often does not want the immigrants and the immigrants end up being a scapegoat and loathed by wider society besides anyone who lives in just about any "melting pot" will know that practically nobody gets on there and fights and beatings (usually) break out leaving the police to deal with it. culture simply doesn't mix. in america its still prevelant and they have had over 100 years to sort it out. the people emigrating are often the people most needed by their own country and so their home country will get prgressivley worse as more of the active population leaves and a dependant population (elderly, disabled, children but not as much) are left to rot in a country with a huge age gap

As for the story of course the iPod is not to blame, totally ridiculous, yeah the music was maybe too loud but I would notice and helicopter falling to the ground they make a bloody great deal of noise even when high in the sky.quote> how about only letting the volume go so high instead of deafiningly loud i havn't brought up the fact a helicopter was involcved but still you get the point hearing is being eradicated by deafeningly loud (usually repetative) music
  10. Italy Arrests 400 In Illegal Immigrants Swoop

wow the Italian government has done something correctly instead of swamping itself in more national debt and getting fined by the European Union the next post on this will be condemning the Italian government and myself as this is normal of course its not the only source of crime but this is the kind of crime they can deal with. don't d=start with the "is is coz i is {name country here}" part of the governments job is to keep people safe and this is it trying is also has things like the mafia to deal with. Tuberculosis and rickets (severe bone deformities caused by lack of vitamin D normally suffered by those from southern countries moving north) are on the rise if you havn't noticed. legal immigration requires an X-ray of your chest (usually paid for by the migrant not universal healthcare) to scan for tuberculosis. illegal immigrants obviously won't go through with this and will spread TB if infected. Europe spent about 100 years trying to eradicate this through mass scannings and sheer campaigning against spitting in public etc.
  11. Helicopter kills student wearing headphones

they have a point. a lot of people i know are like the stereotypical old granny with the ear horn shouting SPEAK UP! and they are not even out of school. i would like ipods and general music players to be regulated so i don't have to hear awful ned dance music from the other end of the bus
  12. Your Cities Suburbs

the houses nearby http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~marshallandkayfamily/Scotland/clerkSt.houses.JPG these are not single houses. the top story is accessed by a stairwell at the back although originally was a single house and in the nearest city http://www.leedsstreetlight.co.uk/EDINBURGH06.jpg these are the norm for city dwellers
  13. Darth Vader Attacks Jedi!

again this is not a real religion or claimed real religion. its not a real religion in the same way computing studies and hairdressing are not real university degrees

  17. Poland

why does everyone assume i read the daily mail? belfastuniguy of course you do realise that the homes they are building wouldn't have to be built if they never moved in here in the first place. and the situation here does put a lot of strain on families whenever somebody moves abroad especially just for work and not taking their family with them especially when Poland is taking off. DON'T you DARE mention some tabloid and say "you read it" since i am too cynical even for The Guardian. This is cheap disgusting lousy name calling which is exactly the kind of hypocrital statement that i absolutley detest. in the same way that some lousy comedian turns to George Bush jokes or Margaret Thatcher remarks for an easy, sneering smirk on everyone's face.
  18. Detroit & the Rust Belt

post industrial cities struggle especially since the service sector is reaching its use by date a lot of populations in these cities expect to do factory jobs and struggle with clerical ones the population is slow to change of course if the factories didn't flee at first sight we wouldn't have this problem
  19. Poland

I'm not sure if Poland is truly the new "it" country. In fact, I've heard that in the last few years, 100,000 immigrants from Poland have moved to England. I still think Poland has a bad record and it will be hard for Poland to become a place where everyone will go to because of the Cold War which totally transformed that country. I may be wrong, but I don't think it is an 'it' country just yet.quote> it's more like 1,000,000 although a lot of Poles are realising that Great Britain is a ****hole and although the money seems bigger, prices more than match the pay and if they came to Britain for the "culture" then they can just pop down for Polish bread, beer and magazines in your nearest newsagent
  20. Who should Doctors let Die in a Pandemic?

what do you mean "rebuild" society it needs to be built before being devastated thats like a tornado ruining a garbage heap still i think on the same lines old people have lived their lives seen everything etc politicians shouldn't get free healthcare since they usually pay for it via private insurance (BUPA)
  21. Economy silences Atlanta...

High-speed rail does bring more people onto rail services. Has worked in Europe and the UK.quote> there are no high speed railways in the UK the reason that the UK rails have made a comeback is because for the first time in about 50 years investment is being made into the railways (nothing to do with privatisation, British rail got about a third of the money that private companies get in susidies)
  22. Boris Wins London Mayoral Election

Labour here is synonymous with "wishy-washy, great big pansy covered skirt, weak-willed, drooling moronic dafty" but we won't vote for the tories or the lib dems who we also won't vote for. i expect abismal voter turnouts at the next general election
  23. Boris Wins London Mayoral Election

a mayor is as stupid as its' electorate
  24. "The jail is starving me to death"

that lardo should be kept in jail the fat bugger needs prison and this is proably not a " bread and water" diet as for France i think th UK should adopt that kind of prison system, too many are getting "life" sentences and being let out after 6 years plus they get sky TV, ping pong and have 4 star hotel care
